Is there a way to call a specific animal (that is indigenous to my region) to me using magick?

I am asking because I have crows and ravens in my area and I want to call one to me so that I could befriend it. (And possibly work with it as well.) So is there a spell or ritual to call a physical raven or crow to me, or any animal for that matter.?

And yes I have tried mundane methods but haven’t had luck.

Do you see them or hear them around? I ask because they are such intelligent creatures, they can tell when you are speaking to them. When you see one, if you call out to it, it will know. Dont be aggressive you dont want upset them, but its a decent way to make contact esp if you have a gift for them also (like food or something shiny)

Yeah, they are usually in the trees and flying above me.

And by calling out to them, do you mean like, “Here Raven”. Or by calling does one literally do a crow call?

Martha Beck’s books and website, particularly her book Finding Your Way In A Wild New World, have descriptions of specific manifestation exercises she and her workshop students have used to draw in whales, wolves, and other wild animals when out on safari or on wilderness adventure tours.

The short answer: food. No magick or cawing required.

The long answer: corvids (especially crows) can remember faces. As long as you feed them in a specific place, at a specific time (ex. once a day), they’ll be willing to come closer to you.

However, this isn’t an “instant” success. Crows are still very weary of humans (with good reason), so this will probably take up to about a year – maybe more. And even then, some may still be reluctant to let them pet you. The way to do this is to feed them nuts (their favorite food) and back away significantly from where you throw the food each time to slowly build their trust.

You should also never stare at them, as that’ll make them think you’re sizing them up as prey. Also, move slowly. Sudden movements may startle them. Same with loud sounds, so be quiet.

Also, don’t do this in your neighborhood – do it somewhere like a park. The reason for this is that crows will trash your neighbors’ yard thinking that there may be more food there which will turn your neighbors against you and they may take action to stop you.

Speaking of humans, be prepared for some people telling you not to feed them.

Sincerely,

A crow enthusiast
