I first got into the occult due to nightmares and weird coincidences that made me research supernatural, occult, spiritual type things. I dabble in surface level magic rituals like money/job/freezer/beauty/protection spells. I am careful regarding free will of others. I donāt call to specific entities. Just general ancestors and spirit guides.
Iām currently struggling with the feeling of being cursed. What brought me here is the feeling of needing stronger protection and knowledge.

Hi, my name is Jesse and I am new here. I really donāt have any experience with magic. My only ambition is to work with / get help from a demon to fix a problem in my life that I believe he is the only one who can fix it.
Last night I tried to perform a summoning ritual for Duke Sallos. I looked around the internet and think i found a proper way - i printed his sigil and laid it on a table in front of me. I basically had it memorized but kept peeking at it to refresh my memory and keep it in my mind. I had two bkack candles lit and some Sandlewood incense burning as an offering. After chanting his Enn for a little while i expkained my problem and asked him for whatever help that he saw fit to give. I also told him that if he helped me that I would gladly make whatever offering to him that he felt was adequate for his effort. I would rather ket him direct my offering since im not completely sure how or what to offer and want to get that part right.
Im not really sure that I did this right, or that he has even agreed to help me. I want to perform the ritual again tonight, not out of impatience, but rather to further clarify myself since I was a little nervous and just to make sure that i get this right.
Anyway, I hope to find some information here, especially for somebody like me who is so unsure and not very adept with picking up on signs and anything supernatural.

Im originally from Germany, but now I live in New York, United States.
This is my first foray into anything demonic and i have only very limited experience with anything supernatural, mostly just as an observer.
I dont know if it is a tradition that I am following, just a step by step procedure and some advice that I found online.
What have you practiced previously?
I had watched a Voodoo ceremony, and been āsmokedā i think, as part of it. That was probably about 20 years ago while visiting New Orleans. Other than that i have participated in having Tarot readings done. I really havent tried practicing until now.

Thank you! Do you have any advice for me, especially peetaining to my planning to repeat the summoning tonight. I just want to be sure that Duke Sallos has heard me and to try to clarify my ple and discern if it is his intention to help me. I dont want to pester him though.
As a beginner, it is fine to repeat a ritual again, if it strengthens it in your mind. However, I would not do it more than that, as that would show doubt, which is anathema to magick.
OK thank you. I will repeat the ritual tonight then, but not again. If Duke Sallos does help me I will need and want to make an offering to him; I assume that he will get in contact with me at that point?
Unlikely, since you donāt have the skills to communicate, but that is not required to make an offering.
I understand. And Duke Sallos would of course know that I dont have these skills and cannot really pick up on a communication. If he helps me and after my pleas have been aided, what should I do to make an ofgering pleasing to him? I have read that he likes wine and rum, but how do I give these to him?
