Introduce me to your path

Hello all, I am curious to learn about everyone’s path.
What kind of magic do you practice?
What kinds of mediums do you use, and what- if any, is the name of your specific path or the name of the magic you practice?

I practice direct and indirect magick.

I work with tarot and oracle, my path doesn’t have a name, as I don’t really care for paths like RHP, LHP and all that goes under the two or exist outside them.

Oh boy, here we go. Like @anon48079295 my path does not have it’s own name. I have done pathworking in other traditions (mainly Celtic, some Kemetic and Norse paganism, leaning more with shamanic work on the latter) and have been building a bridge between both ceremonial magic and my family’s folk magic (with my own twist leaning more towards LHP and demonic workings). Currently I am working on the Qliphoth by introducing and working with the spirits within it in order to learn more. So, essentially I am very eclectic as I pull from lessons from my experiences into my workings.

My mediums for divination are tarot, knives, fire and darkness (scrying). As for magic, I tend to rely on energy work, emotions, local ingredients, simple folk spells, and working with whatever I have available in my environment.

Hm. My path is an odd one, it’s comprised largely of Shamanism, Chan Buddhism, Taoist Alchemy, Western Ceremonial, Qabbalism, and, Demonolatry. More often than not my medium is music, though I also frequently practice with medicines/foods/drinks. I do actually have a name for it, based off the name of the sect I founded a good while back — I call it “Serpentine Lotus Taoism”. The purpose is to realize the singularity of all things, and, to transmute them in to whatever suits my innate nature, as I am inclined.

Concerning magick, two forms that attract me and which I try to follow are orthodox high magic, and scientific magic or modern high magic. The first one views red magic as positive and white magic as neutral, the second inverts the positions (while black magic is always negative, though not in an evil sense).
In the orthodox high magic, one starts from the tower of earth (here is symbolic but inside the temple, or “cosmic laboratory” according to scientific magic, is an actual spot) corresponding to the doubt, go towards the tower of fire representing fulguration, next is water: sacrifice, and finally there is air-knowledge. Each of the three magicians wears clothes of the appropriate color; the white magician is the sage. In modern high magic, black and white magic are instead static and together they produce the dynamic red magic.
Mediums: I work “no props”, but recently got incense, tibetan bowl and a mala; also, already had a pink quartz, useful for e.g. heart chakra.

The path of whatever gets the job done.
But I am only still a beginner, so there is much I don’t know about.

I thought you walk the Path of the Pomeranian?

Nothing in particular, I mostly practice Divinatory Geomancy, Cartomancy, I’ve worked with some Angels and I’m currently interested in Chaos Magick Sigils, and also getting into Goetia. I also worship the Norse Gods.

About 40 % traditional(ish) witchcraft, 30 % Daoist sorcery and internal alchemy, 20% runes(with a side of scandinavian magic in general), and 10% various tricks and techniques I’ve taken a liking to over the years.

I call my path Elenye, it is a path of spiritual refinement with the aim of becoming a physical angel of the goddess that teach me.
The path involves a lot of channeling and internal alchemy (I call it “egoformation”), as well as crafting, automated writing, and some spells.

A lot of the spellwork involves more complex rituals to ensure maximal punching power in the spells, leading to most spells having dedicated crafted containers from which they work through.

I am going to write a bigger thread about it in the future.

Demonolatry + Thelema + Orthodox Christianity + Norse Paganism

It works great.

Platonic hellenisms, in beliefs.
I think I have developed my own path in magic. I also work with shamanic spirits.
In a way I balanced uranic religions (from the sky, masculine energy: Hellenisms) with telluric religions (from the earth, femenine energy: shamanism).
so I work with hellenic divinities and spirits, and shamanic spirits.
Also in my work and life I’m very symbolic and ritualistic.
Most of the magic I work with is for the improvement of myself or someone else, as someone guessed trough my altar pictures before in the forum; I do not work with disruptive energy much. More like the opposite, I tend to do things to harmonize myself and others.

I don’t have a certain path I follow, I follow the path of least resistance to be frank. I grew up Christian, but have been reading tarot cards and doing my own spell work since I was 18…I would reach out and have people do work for me, have spells cast on my behalf, but for the most part, I do my own work.

I don’t have a name for my path, I’m not dedicated to a certain area or whatever…I just go with the flow. I’m ok with that, I’m comfortable with that, and that’s all I care about :woman_shrugging:

It is important to choose specific path.

Why

My path is Hecatean if i were to call it anything. Currently, i study the things of the earth - the magical flora which abounds and collect sacred plants for my garden, which lies on the very edge - the fringes - between the city and the wild. I learn their lore, traditional uses, elemental and planetary correspondence, and connect with their spirits.

My guides are Hecate and Hermes, though i have been visited and compelled to build shrines for other hellenic deities. Hecate and Hermes are the ones i ask and beseech to teach me magic - and then i feel the whirl, images of ritual, what implements should be used, and words flow through my head. Ultimately, i have entrusted myself to Hecate, and learn and engage with magic on the path she leads me.

Sorry for necroing, but in practice how does Demonolatry and Thelema work together? I’ve been thinking about initiating, and investing in an already existing tradition, because I’ve been putting together my own stuff or cherry-picking.
