I’m planning on doing my first full blown evocation soon, and I chose Azazel as the entity to evoke since I’ve felt drawn to him for a very long time. Just a few questions for those who have experience working with Azazel (sorry if these have been answered here before, been away for a while):
Should I incorporate the gateways from the rite described in Chapter 4 of BoA or just use the basic summoning rite?
I’m still a little confused over what Azazel’s “true” sigil is. Should I use the one that is identical to the spirit of Saturn sigil or the triangular one on the cover of BoA?
Azazel prefers the offering of you asking him to destroy your ego, so that you’ll meet the god within. It’s the best offering you can give him. He told me that personally.
You can just use the basic rite, no need for the gateways. Use only his sigil.
If you’d like to use the first gateway/universal circle it would be fine, it won’t hurt anything to use this, you can also use the first gateway as a triangle of manifestation and in my experience it does increase the sensation of the spirits presence. If you have an item you’d like to bind him to or have him or his nethers possess you can use the second gateway to attach spirits to an item or a place.
The sigil Ellison provided is the correct sigil. The symbol on the BOA is the circle of demonic pacts and is not a sigil.
As far as offerings you could use anything that has a strong Saturnian aspect or relation. I’m inclined to agree with Ellison as well, if your ready for this do it and commit yourself to surrendering your ego while all the things not needed are stripped away.
You can use the sigil given above as it functions for Azazel. If you watch EA’s lecture at Dixie State College you can get the hidden sigils for all four demonic kings. Also Mod439 has a post somewhere that has all 4 kings sigils. I use the alternate sigil for Azazel.
You should also take the time to create your circle of pacts. Pour your sweat into the circle as you draw it, afterwards have Azazel fully open the circle for you during your evocation.
As far as offerings go to Azazel, blood, skin and semen are the offerings I’ve used. Entering the pact with Azazel will offer yourself to his service for the time period specified. If you chose to go that rout, which I highly recommed then get ready for a whirlwind to sweep you up into new levels of power you’ve not even imagined yet.
Thanks for the input everyone. Did an evocation using the summoning rite from BoA last night. Got the sigil to flash like crazy so looks like I got into Theta-Gamma fine, though I didn’t get any audio or visual manifestations. After chanting the mantras and gazing at the sigil for about 45 minutes I started to feel connection with Azazel so started asking my questions and writing down what the “little voice” in the back of my head told me. The first answer felt like it came through pretty clear and solid, that to better communicate with spirits I need persistent and rigorous meditation on my Ajna chakra, and this prompted me to ask if this would unbalance the other chakras I got not to worry since meditating on the Ajna will automatically balance out the lower ones (not sure if this is true just what I wrote down).
I guess I just have a very hard time trusting my inner senses, even though I know it’s an essential part of the process. So far that inner voice I’m supposed to listen to hasn’t told me anything that hasn’t already been floating around my mind and many times has turned out to be flat-out wrong. It’s frustrating to say the least.
Ajna chakra? Yes, it’s a good way. But let me tell you a better way (this is for everyone), something that most people don’t know: Anahata chakra. Meditating on that and doing things FROM THERE shuts down the mind and opens up your astral senses like you wouldn’t believe. It also balances the other chakras much better. The Anahata functions on every chakra, as it is a bridge that connects the upper three to the lower three. It’s a portal through which everything you do has much more power than any other “tool”.
The Ajna is associated with the mind. The mind is the only thing that doubts and puts things under question marks. The Anahata never doubts. And what was that about the law of certainty?
Seriously, if you do things from there you’ll notice how every ritual or meditation you do will boost like crazy. Remember how people say “put some heart into it” or “do things from the heart”? That’s their subconscious mind talking. You should take it literally.
Also, any command you issue from the Anahata will have much more power than normal and it WILL happen, as it is issued from a place where doubt doesn’t exist, but only unity and certainty.
Also, something that not many people know… The Anahata chakra is the REAL seat of the soul. That’s the portal through which God speaks. The inner God, the real Creator. Speak from there and it will be so.
“It is said that he who meditates on the heart lotus is foremost among yogis and adored by women. He is preeminently wise and full of noble deeds. His senses are completely under control and his mind can be engrossed in intense concentration. His speech is inspired and he has the ability to enter another’s body at will”.
and;
“In anahata chakra, the freedom to escape from a preordained fate and to determine one’s own destiny becomes a reality. According to the tantras, at the root of anahata there is a wish fulfilling tree known as the kalpa taru or kalpa vriksha. When this tree starts to fructify, whatever you think or wish comes true”.
Yes, that is correct. When I meant that the Anahata chakra is the seat of the soul I meant that it’s the seat of the Holy Guardian Angel. THAT is your real soul. You can achieve union with your HGA by meditating and activating your Anahata. Of course, aside from that union, there’s still a long way to achieving Knowledge and Conversation.
And the HGA represents your destiny. So union with it will align you to your destiny, which will be whatever you want it to be.
