What can they do? I mean what’s the worst or best case scenario?
I’m not speaking from experience but I’d imagine the pact is in relationship to they’re attributes- I would think it would be fair to say said attributes would be used against in a vengeful manner- especially if they held they’re end of the bargain. Then again I’m not speaking from experience.

I am not sure a pact can be broken. If you have a pact, depending upon the terms of the pact , if you break it anything they have fiven you or done for you can and probably will be taken away. It also may mean the end of the contract had been reached and payment is now due. It really depends on the nature of the spirit in question and the nature of the contract. It is not something one can usually just walk away from without repercussions. That is why you need to be very careful who you get into a contract with and make sure you have considered the wording of the contract before presenting it to your unseen partner. The consequences of breaking your end of the agreement can be dire.

Like @nikki said it’s situational. I suggest that person talks to them and tries to come to a compromise. The worst that can happen, endless torment. Children being taken away, suffering of loved ones and much more. To get a more clear answer I would look into the story of that entity. Read up on what they’ve done to others in order to get a good picture

I would say talk to the spirit you made a pact with if you want to end it or have second thoughts. Under some circumstances the spirit might have very good advice for you. They may reccomend another spirit that can help you or give advice.
Remember that you don’t always have to make formal pacts for a spirit to help you. Its useful but not also necessary. They may gladly accept a single offering for advice or work on a per offering basis.
Even if your skills are limited you can ask them with a pendulum if a pact is necessary y/n for example.

I think it’s very individual of the outcome of breaking a pact, or end a spiritual relationship. If the influence of breaking a pact or ending a relationship is external , the result can be devastating. Being affected by someone’s opinion of spirits, demons, gods and goddesses can ruin the foundation of trust that’s been built over the years. The result from the spirit perspective: Broken heart, depression and sadness, getting lost by finding the reasons of betrayal. The attachment can be intensified, which can result in physical and mental attacks. They can put up a fight, because of their investment in you. Investment of giving you the love and comfort you sought after, and the investment of sacrifices and compromises to be with you.
Like some humans, spirits can chose to fight for what they believe in, or give in to the choices of the other and leave peacefully. There’s always a reason to not run into pacts without understanding the consequences of ending it, unless it’s consensual of it being temporary.

You have to talk to them and find out what they would want to right the situation and what would make them happy and move on.

nothing very bad happens in my experience; he just takes everything he gave u back. and it might be a lot, even if u do not realize that .

Does the spirit belong in a heirarchy, and if so, could you invoke the aid of the spirit “above” them?
If the spirit didn’t give you support and fair notice so that you could fulfil the pact, you may be able to insist THEY break it without remedy or harm as THEY failed to fulfil it actively by making you aware again. Yes, that’s very legalistic, but magick can be at times.
If you can find a spirit in their heirarchy who has power over them, or at least influence, you could make this case to them.
Or, you could ask them to manifest clarity and show how the pact acn be taken back up for MUTUAL benefit of course. All depends on the circs.

Thank you for the response, it was only a hypothetical situation that I was thinking of because the spirit seems to think it’s in my best interest that I make a pact with them.
Even going as far as to threaten me…
I still don’t understand why they were behaving that way but I know that working with them is beneficial to me.

Personally threaten you or threaten you with the consequences of not forming the pact. I just wanted to ask because I kept thinking I was being threatened but it was just that they could see the future and I couldn’t. So it was in my best interest at the time but I couldn’t see it.
If they are really threatening you about it then i’m concerned.

They can be very pushy, and that often correlates with your own personality, so i don’t want to jump to conlusions, but remember who is ultimately the magician here.

I’ve read that if some people simply ignore the pact, so does the spirit. The worse case senario would be like having a curse upon you. I can’t really vouch from experience since I’ve only ever done one pact and it was easy to keep the promise.

I had a pact with the infernal nation, some years ago I broke it off. However, I spoke with Baal and he spoke to Lucifer and Lucifer didn’t mind. We left on good terms, I simply told them that I kinda just grew out of working with demons. At the time it was a phase in my life where they were “stepping” stones in me finding myself. Not in the sense if they lead did what people usually evoke them for, but more in the sense that the pact had me doing things for them in etheric projection, which benefitted me. Led me to opportunities such as meeting Erebus, Nyx, different civilizations within the etheric. However, it was time for me to go on my own after that lol. So the pact was broken.
