@ChildOfLilithO Theres not a particular right way. I started by getting a shadow work diary and doing some Lilith meditation and pathworkings. Letting her guide me to what i needed to focus on healing then writing about it after every session and then doing some self reflection in the diary on each entry.

What is shadow work? Everyone talks about it.

You just write down your fears and dark tendencies and what you don’t like in other people? I do all of that in my head. I know myself inside and out. Please enlighten me on what it is.

@Bruho Its a bit more than that, as you know negative socialisation and trauma is sometimes repressed to the point where the conscious and subconscious part of your mind push it into the unconscious part. So you may know some bits of the problem but not root causes which are in the unconscious bit. So the point of shadow work uncovering both known problems and issues as well those hidden ones with help of a god, demon, spirit or guide and accepting and then healing these pieces of us.

As soon as I even ‘thought’ about starting pathworking with Lilith - Shadow Work was the only thing on my mind.

I work with automatic writing (with my inner self), meditation being the first thing I started with. Then, many answers began to come through dreams (crystal clear and direct, without beating around the bush). It’s like I just ‘knew’ the answers on time… but each layer is a lesson on its own. Every psychoanalyst starts with “why” - why did that negative experience trigger a negative emotion in you? And then goes on with more “whys,” until a person arrives at their own conclusion, their “why.” Then, they resolve it because…

What I clearly noticed was her help (over all other) - that analyzing myself overnight is not at all difficult, as if some other unbiased version of me is analyzing myself, like I’ve become a psychologist for centuries. And the answers are so clear in dreams. During the day, emotions surge unexpectedly (without apparent reasons) like a ‘test,’ and if I don’t handle them well, I start analyzing myself with ‘why do I feel this way…???’

Wake up your awareness towards you, I heard she said. :black_heart:

At the end of the day, it’s essential to get to know ourselves and have control over ourselves, which becomes much easier then! The point is to turn those triggering enemies into friends who help you heal and rise above the situation…

I get very distracted, focus and filled with intrusive thoughts like when meditating etc.

Have you tried banishing them? In the worst case, it can help reduce their influence to the point where they have no control over you. You need to figure out what causes intrusive thoughts – sometimes, they can be like leeches, or they might stem from psychological issues or unresolved personal matters. If they don’t have a psychological root, you can handle them by taking control of yourself, best achieved through strict discipline.

I went through a phase before, struggling with intrusive thoughts until I dealt with the influence of the church. Before performing a ritual, I used to practice binding those thoughts. Initially, it was a psychological trick to prepare myself for the ritual and improve my focus, but later on, it proved to be quite effective. Meditation is the must here.

Get to know your ‘enemy’ – the intrusive thoughts – and first understand why they are there. Once you do that, you’ll quickly figure out how to deal with them. This is just my personal experience that might be helpful to you.
