A group of people have implied they’re going to curse/hex some of my friends, unaware that I’m willing to defend them. I do believe they’re likely to go through with this, so I want to know if there’s anything I can do.

The same way you’d protect yourself, shielding, protection by asking an external source, etc.

Hiya OP! In addition to methods that you would normally use to protect yourself, when protecting others, you can also gift them talismanic or enchanted objects that are possessed of protective qualities. You can also use talismanic objects to set up a magical field at your friends’ homes and/or on their persons, by programming it to, when it detects negative or harmfully targeted energy patterns, synchronize/merge the patterns with the weakest and most ineffectual versions of themselves. Such an action corrodes the efficacy of the spells and bypasses the protections on serious curses to help crumble them from within!
