I know it might be a bit late for this, but how can i level up here?
There is someone i need to Dm(send a private message to) but i cant.
What level should I reach and how can i reach that?

You need to contribute. A good ideas for posting and replies is to start a journal for yourself, and every day login and update your journal.

If you did that for, oh say, two to three months you’d level up quickly.

Alright fair enough
I’ll be more active, But I’m still wondering where can i see my progress or how close I am to reaching that point.
Or at least knowing how many posts are needed, I guess I’ll just wait for a Mod to answer that.

Trust levels are discussed in detail here:

Essentially:

Trust Level 1 – Basic

At Discourse, we believe reading is the most fundamental and healthy action in any community. If a new user is willing to spend a little time reading, they will quickly be promoted to the first trust level.

Get to trust level 1 by…

  • Entering at least 5 topics
  • Reading at least 30 posts
  • Spend a total of 10 minutes reading posts

Users at trust level 1 can…

  • Use all core Discourse functions; all new user restrictions are removed
  • Send PMs
  • Upload images and attachments if enabled
  • Edit wiki posts
  • Flag posts
  • Mute other users

Admins can change these thresholds by searching for tl1 in site settings.

Understandable, But what does Entering Topics mean?

Does it mean to open posts from 5 different topics?
Sorry if Im being a noob, I havent got used to this yet.

I just took that directly from the discourse blog. A moderator can better answer that for you.

The admins of this forum chose to set specific settings above the default levels on the Discourse website. The lock on PM access is to prevent members from being harassed by spammers and trolls.

You haven’t been active enough to meet the threshold for PM access, as you made only four posts in October before going inactive. The system will unlock PM access automatically once you meet the requirements. You can’t see what the exact metrics are because if you could, then you could game the system to gain greater access, which would defeat the point.

Ask them to PM you. You can then reply.
