Keep in mind this was an example of a love magick ritual i did almost a decade ago.
According to the posts i put up at the time, the spell was a success. The 2 people had been together for over a year and this was a reconnection ritual that worked overnight. Success, right? Wrong. They broke up 6 months after.
There was another ritual i did a writeup on here for that took place over 11 months. I can’t find it right now, but i explained everything in detail over a 10 month period. By month 12 the two were married, and in month 17 they announced a pregnancy. In month 28 they had a baby boy. Last i checked they’re still together and their boy is in public school now, getting ready to go into junior high. Those 2 do everything together, they are inseparable. That relationship was very much a slow build, and the connection was always calm and purposeful, but the love those two have for each other is very real and they are hilarious together.
I remember one major argument they had at the 2 1/2 year point. One of the guy’s friends started talking about trying to teach the guy pickup and the woman was like what the fuck? They were going at it for like an hour online. At that point i jumped in and i told her, no, he never used pickup on her, as a matter of fact i showed her messages where i WARNED him NOT to try using pickup on her. When she saw those messages she immediately calmed down. Guy’s friend was on the outs after that, which made him salty toward me, but whatever. I had to step in and let her know that relationship was based entirely on a true connection, with ZERO manipulation on anyone’s part. Even on the magick side i never used any love spells to get her attention. I focused only on the guy making himself open to anyone who truly cared about him, and that’s when she showed up out of nowhere. It was very hands-off magick where i LET things happen instead of trying to force them to happen. I think that’s what made the difference in that case - it was more of an acceptance of the relationship happening at its own speed than some kind of forcing it to be.
It’s easy to misread love magick. So many factors involved. Every situation is different
To me it’s not so much about the timing it’s more about when does the motivation to cooperate for the sake of the union kick in.
I mean, i guess you can force someone to submit to you, but how long does that last? When someone wants to be with you of their own accord, respects your emotional needs, and are willing to cooperate with you, to my way of thinking that’s a better barometer of success. It’s hard to measure when that kicks in. For some people it happens almost immediately, some take more time. Relationship rhythms are different, they have to match and you can’t really predict that
