How Do I consecrate an animal skull with a spirit? Having that spirit attached to the the object, like EA koetting with his gazelle skulls? How do I consecrate a ritual dagger too?
Step 1: Evoke the search bar.
It’s fairly simple really you just place the object in this case the skull into the triangle call up your spirit and ask it to go ahead and make that object a portal for it’s self. Put your intent into making that a portal for the spirit to have access to this realm. This is the easiest way and I doubt you are attempting to hold something against it’s will so this would do just fine. It may also be fun and helpful for you to draw or carve the spirit’s sigil on the skull. Any other associations the spirit is particular to such as astrological time candle color etc the usual stuff, usually helps bring it all together you can also add some stones to amplify the effect or just make the stone the receptical for the spirit, that’s what I do because the stone has its own energy storage capacity and it can hold energy that the spirit can then use to manifest more easily.
As for consecration of your ritual dagger what you probably mean is cleanse and charge with energy and intent. Now. Dagger is a symbol of the will which is why we use it for the purpose of directing energy,it is also a masculine symbol and is associated with fire and projective energy. So when we charge it we charge it with the energy it corresponds to so fire and solar.
Cleansing is easy take a quartz crystal and use it to absorb any energy it may have accumulated on it , you could also put salt all over it at sundown and wipe it off the next morning at sun up. Or if you have some experience with energy work you can wipe it with your own energy, and some people dip it in structured or holy water.
Charging the dagger is basically the opposite you place the dagger in the sunlight from sun up to sun down and then fill it with your own personal energy and intent. Pass the blade over the flame a few times to give it some fire energy and as you do all this you should visualize and feel the energy flow and be part of the process and not just placing things out there to let nature do the work.
I thought blades were associated with air, and wands, fire?
I always associated blades with fire because that’s how they are forged as well. This is also why it is a representation of the will, and blades are weapons either for hunting or war both fire association. The shape of a blade also kind of looks like a flame. But if people (Golden Dawn) use the blade for air that’s their choice I suppose. I use the wand to represent air because I use and arrow and the feathers represents air and direction flight and the process of shooting is one of skill and intelligence both air association. Now that I think about it you could even use a spork for either and it wouldn’t make much difference so long as it means KFC to you.
Can this vessel be used to direct magick with the spirits energy?
What do you mean?
If I consecrate the skull with the power of Lilith. Could I use Lilith seductive power at a goal?
Like if the energy of a spirit was left inside the object, then the spirit does its own thing, could I take the energy formed in the object for my own goal without communicating with the spirit?
I see, I kind of think that since the spirit is always connected to the item It would be aware of everything you are doing. If you want the attributes of the spirit then you might want to ask it for this rather than attempting to use some sort of residual energy to achieve some goal.
Thanks Adam. It was always a little confusing to me as to why some Tarot decks have fire/wands, and air/swords, while others had it reversed. But you’re right, it is up to the practitioner. I can swap the meaning as I see fit for certain rituals.
Hmm, maybe I could even buy a new knife and make a new wand. Two of each. Air dagger, fire dagger, air wand, fire wand. Ehhh shit, I better stop before my OCD takes over and I end up hoarding a collection where I have four elemental versions of every ritual tool.
