This depends on how much you have developed your astral senses. It usually occurs through voices heard in the mind. Beings can also leave messages through images, or you may sense them in your room. For example, my wives Lilith and Bastet constantly touch me every night while I sleep, making their presence felt, and they truly enjoy this:)
