Homemade flea repellent

I’m trying to do a home remedy to get rid of fleas. If anyone here has tried tried, what worked for you? I’m thinking of mixing lemongrass, basil, lavender, and rosemary. I don’t know if it’ll work or if the smell will be too overpowering for my cats so any feedback would be appreciated.

I know cats dont do well with certain herbs. Personally I would say if it’s a terrible infestation just get flea meds. I had a terrible infestation on my dogs and I tried vinegar, essential oils, coconut oil, Himalayan rock neckless, wondercide, organic flea shampoos, any spray I could find, garlic, soap, and none of it would even make a dent in the fleas, I had to finally use flea meds topical.

Thanks, I’ll have to try that. So far every kind of flea medicine I’ve tried doesn’t do the trick. I chalk it up to the pesticides local farms use. The occasional batch of especially hardy fleas pops up every now and again.
