I don’t remember what I was looking for, but I was wandering hallways of what I thought was a high school (not my high school, though) when I noticed an immobile, dense black, featureless, human-looking figure. When I started to look more closely, it shouted “Who are you? What are you doing here?” Then it immediately slammed its hands into my chest really hard. I don’t know what it’s like to be kicked by a mule, but that’s what it seemed like. It really hurt. I was shocked, but when I didn’t respond with fear it engaged me like a sumo wrestler and began pushing me backward until I woke up.
Did I bump into a ward or protection servitor? I have never seen anything like that in a dream. Has anyone had a similar experience? It seemed almost mechanical and programmed, and my first thought was that it was guarding a military or government thing, but that might just be my mundane distrust of government.
I recently started a daily, random checking if I’m in a dream, to move toward lucid dreaming, but that happened so fast that I don’t think I would have caught it even if I was practiced.
