Historically Good Demons

I was wondering, is there any historically documented demons that are considered good and helpful? My friend refuses to leave me be until I show “proof” that demons are not evil. I tried explaining to him that they are spirits with their own wills and temperaments but no, he wants examples. So here I am, asking for help in this search. Hek at this point, even pointing me in the right direction would help.

Thankyou for your time.

Prince Seere. He is described as being indifferent good. Which I take to mean neutral good. Of all the goetica he is the the most “good”. Imo. And when he as come to me his energy is always warm and so loving my heart feels like its exploding.

In my eyes , a Chelsea fan will tell you Manchester United is bad and a Manchester United fan will tell you Chelsea is bad , I don’t have the most amazing experiences with demons , so I stay away , I know how to work with them , but I don’t , I prefer to work with Archangels and Norse entities

Are there stories about him helping his summoners? I’m really after that sort of thing

If “good” means “ideal Christian behavior”, then your friend will never like demons, nor anything in the world

I think by good they mean helpful, or benificial.

Then the internet is full of resources, both in the form of experiences and books, but keep in mind that they can be helpful and beneficial by being Christianly evil, this is a black magic oriented forum after all

He has helped me for sure. He does help to bring things about quickly. And he does excellent work with opening the third heart chakra.

Then don’t care about their opinion. Your “proof” will never be good enough, I bet.

If you tell people what you’re up to, be prepared to talk to a lot of walls. Instead of wasting your time with that, put that energy into your practice. Much more effective.

100% agreed.

Anyway, I think OP is looking more for well documented lore than comments on the internet or grimoires. Which I don’t think exists. The word demon comes from greek and mean spirit, it was a very common word (Even Socrates spoke about having his daemon inverted). Once the word got a new meaning, the old gods were rewritten in a new lore. So, if you can find an ancient Egyptian goddess in the Goetia (and you can), you’ll never find lore depicting her as good because while that (most likely) exist, she’ll be named as a goddess in those stories.

For OP: you don’t have to prove anything. Also… there is basically no way to prove magick to other people, in most cases not even to other occultists.

Totally agree. That’s why I cut straight to it. I did think about saying something about people killing for for the major religions, but that also can’t be quantified in any meaningful way.

Thanks y’all. I just wanted acceptance and respect but I may not get that.

It’s not important, for people outside the knowing and practices, it sounds weird. I’m just glad if my best friend accepts whatever I’m doing. I got the same response from both, BDSM and magick: she doesn’t likes it, but it is okay with it since it’s good for me.

There’s a reason ‘demonizing’ is a word.
If there was undisputed testimony of a spirit being (only) ‘good’ than it probably wouldn’t be classified as a demon.
And half the forum wouldn’t want to work with it.

Hmmm demons are like us, we can love but also hate so have all range of emotions and sentiments and most important the power to choose. Probably one of the most friendly would be to explain Lord Baal Marduk and the 50 manifestations of the Necronomicon
