HGA vs HIGHER SELF

What is the difference between higher self and the HGA( Knowledge and conversation with the holy guardian angel)?

For some, the terms are used interchangeably. For some, the higher self is the supreme ruler & godself of their own existence, while the HGA is a sort of watchdog to keep the various temporal selves that are running around in line with the plan. This is one of those subjects that’s going to have infinite answers to it, because we all have our own internal definitions of what this thing is & does, versus what that one thing is & does.

What @Mao said . In Thelema, HGA is a way of saying “higher self”, despite that almost at the end of his life, Crowley wrote in “Magick without tears” that they were not the same thing according to what he understood as a “higher self” at that time of his life. Asenath Mason also has written about the subject in her “Draconian ritual book”, where she used the concept of higher self that Crowley describes in “Magick without tears”. Other people have written their own interpretations and have their own experiences. I recommend you the book " The Complete Magick Curriculum of the Secret Order G.B.G.: Being the Entire Study, Curriculum, Magick Rituals, and Initiatory Practices of the G.B.G (The Great Brotherhood of God)", it may help you understand stuff that OTO and LHP authors won’t tell you, but that stuff is still the particular interpretation of a group of people.
