So for the longest time I’ve always been confused over haunted dolls and wondered how they could possess such powers to negatively effect someone or a home for that matter, and then it just clicked.
Anyone can make a haunted doll.
Essentially It’s just a doll that someone’s attached a servitor too and tasked it with wreaking havoc in the lives of whoever possesses it.
It’ll explain why the doll produces the same set of events and symptoms in each new pair of hands it passes through and it’ll explain why such events seem to magically disappear once the doll is no longer in your home or vicinity.
What’s your thoughts on this?
Imop While it can be this, it can also be a legit spirit bound to the item or otherwise stuck in it.
Sometimes spirits, spirits of the dead, djinn and other types, are quite literally attached to an item.
It can also be residual energy that just gives off a bad vibe, or even just a strong vibe- no spirit attached.
One can notice a bad (or strong) energy and still not be able to discern if it’s just powerful feeling energy or a spirit, especially if they don’t have experience trying to feel and discern energies, types of spirits and spirits or exposure to such phenomena.
That’s also not really getting into accidentally created thought-forms and servitors just from being used as a kid with a strong imagination…
Like I wonder how many kids my age still have a teddy bear protector and don’t even know it… 
The dolls that are frequently sold as haunted though, were popular amongst adults and children alike, not so long ago many people collected them etc, so yes some will have thought forms and servitors attached.
Others will be other types of spirits, dead spirits etc conjured into them, given to a spirit as a vessel etc.
