My second time trying to invoke a demon. i felt it energy when gazing at its sigil but i did not see him or hear him. i also meditated before doing it. what was i doing wrong
Nothing.
It takes practice to hear or see the Spirits.

As @anon48957109 mentioned, it takes practice to begin to hear and communicate with spirits clearly. Meditate as often as you can and pay attention to your dreams.
Also, I don’t seperate me gazing at sigils from meditation; that IS the meditation when I’m opening seals. You’re actively entering into an altered state while looking at the symbol(s). Try gazing at the sigil while you’re meditating and see if that makes a difference.
