Good books / spells / chants / rituals for Shadow work?

I am going to do shadow work. I don’t know which books can help me a lot in this work. If you know any books, rituals, spells or chants related to shadow work then please share them here. I need to integrate my shadow with my self. Many signs are indicating me to do this.

There are several guided meditations with Lilith on YouTube that you could use to get started. Just search “Lilith shadow work meditation.”

Thank you

I think the method of Socratic questioning is where I started my journey.
Self awareness too.

Mindfulness.

Asking myself why?

Why, what and where, when and how, but internally.

A lot of deep trauma work too. Mostly involuntary. But a story for another time. Working through what developmental blocks and core wounds you have.

This is why I say psychology and magick are intrinsically bound.

The magician has a responsibility to understand his inner drives.

That’s what his or her values, attitudes and core wounds are. That may or may not include trauma (large ir small) in childhood. What makes you uniquely you? What was your childhood like? what makes you feel shame? Guilt? Sadness? Depression? Anger?

What behaviours do you do when you experience these emotions ?
What thoughts ?

Now what drives these behaviour or thoughts ? (This is where the trauma wound may lie but also it may be nothing ).

It’s basically cognitive behaviour therapy on steroids.

I think the link between psychology and occultism is missing and necessary.

It’s also holding yourself accountable, changing self destructive habits that hinder your soul evolution, understanding your higher purpose and understanding anything that behaviourally/cognitively or emotionally limits you.

Books? There really isn’t ONE book. Dependent on your specific situation or whether you are male or female or you have struggles with motivation, or cognition or procrastination or maybe it’s something like the narcissistic/ schizoid thing- unlikely you would ask a question about shadow work and I think I’d be out of my depths as a therapist if I had a narcissist come to me tbh. But honestly, the absolute awareness is the best place to start.

You then can identify core issues. Cognitive behaviour therapy does wonders for a lot of people. There are worksheets online people can access.

Dependent on your individual problem that you as a person need to work through, I am resistant to CBT but I find it helps clients immensely (it works for my ADHD in a surface level way but not for my deep trauma).

Socratic questioning in a journal format is a great method too. Or just journaling. Do you have a magick journal??

Mindfulness training is great to bring a gentle self awareness or introspection to your routine.
