Gods on earth

If a god like Zeus or Ares wanted to come on this earth as they are (strength, speed, lightening etc) could they ?

Do they exists on a different plane of existence or are they just spirits ?

My personal opinion. Nothing exists on one plane of existence. Think, hologram theory. Every sphere of existence projects itself as a different dimension in one spacetime. All are connected. What we call spirits or Gods, they have the ability to be aware of their several selves and can move in and out of each dimension at will.

By default, according to our place in evolution, humans can’t do that. They need to awaken this nature in themselves. The ones who successfully achieve it are usually called … magicians, mystics, saints etc And from their success, this ability could be activated in the DNA of the rest of humanity. Overtime, humans can become as advanced as those… Gods.

Just another theory. Can’t prove it to you, unfortunately

Not in the physical sense. All spirits are incorporeal and need to inhabit a person to interact with the material plane.

They’re spirits, but they definitely hang out a lot in the astral plane.

Sorry I forgot your first question.

That’s when things become a little complicated. If Gods walked the earth in their physical form, you won’t recognize them as such because they would have different forms. For example, what’s solid matter in what we call, the astral, become “shadows” in this physical realm. Strength in the astral would be perceived as weakness in our dimension. Angels would look demonic and Demons would seem Angelic.

If you see those Gods here, they would be perceived as weak creatures, compared to humans. But this is only an illusion in perception. Doesn’t reflect their true power or ability or advancement.

Our minds, conscious minds, are designed to operate in one dimension. Difficult for it to connect the opposite and perceive them as one and the same. That’s why we never recognize those Gods in our “reality”.

A theory that I can’t prove true or false.

Since you like the Olympians, let’s get philosophical.

Do you know about Plato’s “World of Forms?” It’s fairly simple and it can be used to make short work of the question “What is Divinity?”

It starts with asking if numbers exist. Platonists say that numbers do exist and they have some powerful arguments to stand on. To the Platonist, the physical universe gets to exist because it fits within the framework of geometry and mathematics. We cannot hold numbers in our hands because our hands are being held by numbers.

If we apply similar reasoning to the gods, they already exist on this plane, in every location and at every time. Aries exists on this plane as he influences conscious beings just like the number five exists as it describes a set of objects. Both of these concepts can be touched and articulated by the mind without a physical place holder. A deaf dumb and blind person could imagine a triangle and accurately deduce its properties even if they never saw one drawn on paper. That same person could meet Zeus even if they didn’t use that name. They would know his essence. Zeus is pure unwavering willpower. Helen Keller knew that essence quite well.

Yeah man. Scientific materialism leads to some pretty far-out stuff these days. The entire universe is pure information? Who would have thought that?
Oh right. Magicians.
