A few days ago I invoked Sorath and petitioned him about compeling someone to do something for me and I gave him blood as offering. From that day, my life is almost meaningless, cold, I don’t know how to describe it. I feel numb. Is this a side effect or something? Should I just let the time pass or do I have to do something?
I did this ritual from the book “Magick of Sorath” by David Thompson.
In the ritual I asked Sorath (with a use of pendulum) that I need to give blood as offering and he said yes. Can it be not Sorath? a parasite or something?
I don’t like any baneful ritual, however this one I had to do it, because the target did something pretty unfair.
This is my very first post after reading articles on here for about two years.
Compelling someone doesn’t really seem like something that in Sorath’s wheelhouse. He’s the baleful aspect of the Sun, which means he excels in burning things away. He’s like an uncontrolled fire.
I’ve never read anything by David Thompson so I can’t speak on the efficacy of his books but why did you give blood? Did the author say you had to?

Thank you very much for your comment and your information about Sorath.
Inside that book, there is a whole chapter about compelling someone by Sorath and for all rituals the author said that we should use blood as offering.
Actually, I was hesitant to use blood as offering, because I read it here that it should be some kind of relation between I and the spirit.
Would you mind telling me some entities that I can work with for compelling someone?
I appreciate any insights.

Archangel Michael would be a fair resource for compelling someone. Graphiel as the intelligence of Sol.

For compelling someone and the subjugation of will, King Paimon and Dantalion are the main go to demons for such work.

Just another question: Is it okay if I ask or petition multiple spirits for this single task? Does it make it stronger? Or make it conflicting? For example here, I ask both Paimon and Dantaliyon and also both Archangels Michael and Graphiel for this task?
Do you mean Mepsitahl? Because she is a Neptunian spirit that helps with clairvoyance. She would NOT be useful for influence or compulsion.

I must’ve been mistaken, though that one would be beneficial to learn from.
I thought Mephistopheles was the one I was thinking of but cutoff at Mephisto.
I could swear the sigil and notes were in Works of Darkness or Kingdom of Flames.
Or I’m completely off in left field.

Mepsitahl is mentioned in several of Koetting’s books, notably Evoking Eternity and Works of Darkness. However, her purpose in both is to help open the astral sight.
Koetting doesn’t really have much to do with Mephistopheles. The only place I’ve seen him mentioned is the BALG evocation course workbook.

My life got a little bit destroyed after that ritual, however it got recovered pretty fast! Maybe he wanted to show me something specific. Did same thing happen to you?
Did you also feel a some circular energy in your solar plexus during in the ritual?
I suggested Michael and Graphiel, as they are assigned to Tiphareth and are a bit more forgiving. Mileage may vary.
