With metal and plastic trinkets alike, is it possible to enchant these? How? How to test?
Let’s say I have a plastic flower ring from a gumball machine. Primarily canary yellow and royal blue in a mantra or sacred geometry imagery on the face.
Could it be enchanted for appearing to be one of the guys, to fit in better? Not necessarily worn but pocketed. Charged by being aware of it on the person?
Or, given extra oomph by mixing with saliva, and charging by rubbing hands and pulsing energy through it being cupped in one hand and the other charging it?
I don’t see why not.
It’s about the operator more than the object.
Enchanting gumball machine trinkets is some real chaos magic territory.
So its the issue of the object being non metallic or non-mineral, right?
Why is that an issue?
I say yes because in the past I’ve made charms including good luck penny ones.
Saliva isn’t necessary nor blood nor anything else like that unless the charm is specifically for yourself.
Basically it’s energy plus intent to charge them (like say masturbation energy or joy or rage depending on what your charm is supposed to do. I wouldn’t use rage for good luck or love obviously.
When I made the charms in the past I used LeVey’s template calling the infernal names and using my energy and intent to charge plus my own spin on it using representations of the 4 elements to give it elemental charge too.
Technically, if you count in you own energy as an element it’s 5 elements, cuz your energy would be spirit akasha whatever you want to call it.
Anything can be charged plastic stone toilet paper (jk but technically true that it could be).
As to the discharge from it that depends on how much energy it was charged with not the material (it may be harder to get some materials to take but once it takes decay is faster when less energy was input slower when more was used).
That’s my experience.
Add: as to knowing… trust your Magick and if you see what it’s charged for happening then you know it took. If it didn’t take there’s no harm charging it again. The only way to know it to experience results (unless of course you can feel the energy in it like a tingle. (Some people can’t feel it).
I had one of my luck charms return to me , it was one I had added if the owner threw it away or didn’t want it anymore or lost it(aka proved unworthy) for it to return to me. It returned in the change from my coffee. I know it’s the one I did cuz I drilled the hole, it was a Canadian penny and I could feel the charge.
Not sure what to do with it, but like I said energy plus intent = success/result.
Only an issue as its non conductive/electric. And non magnetic.
^This.
The hangup here, is to get past the part of your mind telling you that “it’s just a ____, c’mon man”, “it’s no good, because X reason(s)”
Ultimately, it’s going to depend on how you feel about that object I guess.
Cool, so my theory was untrue which means I can enchant the item whether plastic/non conductive or metal/conductive or wood/conductive or rock/nonconductive.
So what are mechanics of enchantment, just creating and pulsing energy toward the object, while envisioning intent and repeating an incantation over it multiple times?
YOU are the mechanic.
I’d say it’s similar to a consecration.
Whatever you need to do to set that object apart from what it normally is or would be, and then make it special.
Incantation brings your intent into the physical world by sound and vibration. You’re speaking your will into reality.
Think of the bornless ritual:
"This is he, who having made VOICE by his COMMANDMENT is LORD of ALL things… I am he whose mouth ever flameth! I am he, the BEGETTER and MANIFESTER…"*
@crookedpathfinder I keep seeing people talk about the bornless ritual. I’m unfamiliar with it so I’m gonna ask, where do you find it? (The sentiment in your quote is familiar but I’ve never come across those words phrased like that before).
Here ya go:
(I actually just got done doing it just now. Lol)
There are several versions, but the original of Croswley is in Liber Samekh, which you can find online as a PDF file. I will try and find the page that analyzes it.
This is a cool article on the “headless rite” (bornless ritual):
(I also borrow a few phrases from this person’s version:)
Lately I’ve found, that after doing it I must be raising or attracting a lot of energy.
On at least two occasions, I’ve experienced where it seemed that I was speaking with two voices towards the end of the rite (one not my own)…
Some of the last few times I’ve done it I’ve experienced some nausea and/or a heavy feeling after leaving the space I do it in much like you would after a heavy or strong invocation (or even possession I suppose)
This last Monday I did it and was trancing out for a few hours and experiencing some partial possession(s).
Made me think I should back off of it for awhile. Had been doing it almost daily for about three months straight.
(Sorry for the offtopic stuff, I’ll drop it after this).
I have a Dollar Tree item that I would like tp put to good use, not only because it looks cool and feels right in my hand, but is symbolic for seeing all.
It’s a driveway stake light with a spooky halloween eye. Plastic.
Which is why I ask, if plastic can be enchanted. I want to work with a divinatory spirit such as Ipos or Orobas, and have them help me enchant the item to be imbued with that property. If I want to know past, present, or future by divination or otherwise, all I do is pick it up and see it.
Thats the point, kinda.
But how:
Does one enchant an item?
Does one enchant an item so well and strong that it exhausts an entire joined egregore/thoughtform to break its power?
The definition of enchant is to “cast a spell upon,” so to enchant something simply means to infuse it with energy and intention (which is basically what a spell is). A rabbit’s foot talisman, for example, would be enchanted to bring good luck.
When it comes to enchanting something, I believe the rule is that all objects can be enchanted, but some objects are better than others, depending on what your purposed goal is. If this wasn’t the case, entities like Byr’than in EA’s book of Azazel would have no reason to exist. So I’d look into exactly what your end goal is, and research what type of object would best fit with that goal.
I see a problem with this
If you are thinking that there’s an egregore/thoughtform that you must overpower and it has power over and your magick so you that you need to break in order for the dollar tree or any other magick to work you are sabotaging your magickal goal.
Worrying about having to overpower something rather then putting all of the energy into charging your item it’s self sabotage.
Even worse you might be charging the object to sabotage your goal if you are too focused on the need to overpower the egregore/thoughtform because you will be dumping those thought into your object (thought that it won’t work because of X).
To charge the object you have to be solely focused on the act (completely focusing your will on your intent) and not be sideways thinking about why it can’t work or how it could be sabotaged. At best those side thoughts will weaken your intent and result at worst they could if strong enough program the object to work in the opposite way from what you are trying to do.
Add: I hope this made sense
Summary
When charging a charm (or other object) you must remove all thoughts except for your intent from your mind and pour it ALL (the intent) into the object. Side thoughts (like must overpower egregore) weaken or sabotage the intent. Therefore when charging you need to have no thoughts other than your intent going on in your head during your charging ritual
Here’s wishing you success in charging your money tree
