Drinking and drugs during rituals. Does this lessen the work?
It depends entirely on the context.
Certain drugs used within sacred ritual aid in magick.
Sharing a drink with the gods can be a form of communion.
However, being liquored up or stoned out of your gourd will not only lessen the magick, it makes you vulnerable to parasites and impostors because you lose the one thing a magician is supposed to maintain, control over their perceptions.
