Does KARMA only exist in Hinduism and Buddhism?

Read up a lot on Reddit and it’s always YES and NO

Any first hand experience of anyone here? Or maybe Karmic stuff from past lives ( regression, dreams etc)

Well the belief system originated from hinduism, but karma has later been incorporated into various Wiccan paths and to some degree some “LHPers” follow karma too, same with some ‘RHPers’ so it’s just incorporated into individual paths now.

The word “karma” originates in Hinduism, but most ancient spiritual traditions have had their own version of the concept.

Karma is basically cause and effect. You commit an action, and a resulting reaction happens. If you go around punching random people, sooner or later someone will punch you back as a consequence of that action. That’s karma.

The problems start when people attach morality to the effect. You punched someone so you deserve to be punched back because you’re a bad person. Except, being punched back is simply a natural consequence of the action, as most people don’t generally take very kindly to being hit.

I had my material prosperity bound by some “higher power” who didn’t take too kindly to the suffering a previous incarnation caused in his pursuit of wealth. One could say this was my karma, the consequence of the actions I took.

How’d ya come to know this? And who is this HIGHER POWER?

I see a bunch of ppl on Reddit doing baneful left right Center with 0 karma

Then there are ones who say it’s gonna happen just that it’s taking longer. So the longer it takes - the severe it will be.

I also have seen ppl in my home city doing absolute shit to get what they want and live out their human life with just natural health issues.

Someone rightfully said - so many modern day hipster meaning to karma, even calling the police seems like a societally accepted curse. Lol

I was told this by spirits. I wanted to know why my money magick was lacking.

I’ve never bothered to find out who or what the higher power was that bound me, because it wasn’t important. What was important was breaking the binding, which I did, with help from Lady Eva, Belial, Paimonia and a nameless African shaman.

There’s Sanchitta karma, Prarabdha karma, and Agami karma in hinduism, outside of it is often something you personally choose to incorporate into your life. I personally never had any karmic issues to deal with in either of the types of karma.

I’m also wondering about it , short story i crashed a car broke the light and ran away ( my first week of work didn’t wanna get fired xD) a week later I fell with motorcycle and broke my phone and my bike … Is that karma cause I don’t like it xD
Ended paying much more than 100 USD max of damage of what I did

Well, you sound like a very nice guy. I can’t really see you doing something horrible Valenos. :innocent: :relaxed:

Usually people who i see worrying with karma are people who are doing (or thinking about doing) something they are afraid they’re going to get some divine punishment for it. But even in those traditions karma is not supposed to be seeing as a punishment but as a learning tool. :man_shrugging:
Anyway, there’s even mantras to supposedly remediate karma. I suppose if you (the OP) is really worried about karma maybe add those to your practice.

Karma and everything like it such as the threefold law only exists to the individual that believes in such things. Your mind makes the rules.

This  exactly this.

Concepts like karma did not take on the role of “divine judge” until the cults of monotheism got their hands on it to my knowledge. As state earlier it is cause and effect and it is a part of learning just extended through multiple life times. The part people tend to get hung up on is the “good and bad” of it. But this is part of a persons path to learning and evolution.

The more accurate way to look at karma is what is your own soul tryin to learn from the lessons of life around you. It’s different for each person. This is Dharma or Orlog if you prefer the norse perspective. It is essentially the same your path. YOU chose the path you take so you write the story.

This aspect of this that can make peoples brain is as operators of magick regardless of tradition or powers involved we actively learn how to write our own story in concert with the soul to explore the path We as individuals chose to take.
