I noticed a sharp difference between the energy of Lucifer’s popular vertical sigil, and his greater seal from the Grimorium Verum. The tall sigil is much more tranquil, while the round one is deeply shadowy and heavy.
I did the same with Beezlebub’s round seal. His nature pretty much stayed the same. But Lucifer’s nature tends to vary between sigils.
Do you think the round Lucifer seal is more appropriate for anything in particular? Has anyone here used it for any spellwork?
I think Lucifer’s sigil become simpler and simpler over time, so the Asian sigil of Lúcifer (the one that looks like a logo) is a more simplified and tamed side of Lucifer. I don’t know if the place where are you using this seal of Lucifer may have different energetic implications (maybe if you use in Asia the energy is more strong). I think the round sigil of Lucifer is the more “complete” form of Lucifer, that’s why in LHD Theodore Rose say that the most close to it’s original essence is the round sigil from Grimoire Verum.
@MrKeleton I remember seeing Lucifer’s round seal from in the Book of Pope Honorius and it resembles vaguely what the Grimorium Verum displays for him.
That seal is like two triangles on top of each other, while the Verum seal is more complex. I tried the Armadel sigil for him and there was seemingly no presence. I did get a STRONG presence from the Verum one, however.
I can’t speak for Lucifer’s sigils as much, but I’ve had some experiences with Belial’s sigil variants.
The encircled skull looking one that most are familiar with, that was the sigil I had encountered first. When I first saw it, Belial’s energy came about with a greater strength of spirit sensation of anything I’d experienced up to that point.
Belial didn’t want me to use it through, which I found strange because he’d used it to communicate to me, yet I wasn’t meant to communicate with him with it. This dynamic led to finding another older variant, a sigil that felt far more potent than the first — the one from older manuscripts of Lesser Key, and the one I mainly use now.
It was training exercise to better recognize the specific sorts of energy he transmits to me when he’s trying to put me on a specific path for information.
Despite all this, I don’t believe that some sigils are universally better or that any are “more correct” than others. What matters more is what those sigils mean to you and the spirit. If there is a preference for one over the other (whether it comes from you or the spirit you’re with), that’s perhaps something worth exploring. I can at least say that it was a rewarding experience to do so
I wish hear Them by more solidifying and clear , not just Somewhat faint thoughts, I know they are the voices of spirits, but I want to be more focused that I hear them with 100% strict certainty. @Valesus
