So when I speak to a spirit, Do i need to be in Theta state for me to hear them or see them? Like I gaze at the sigil and the spirit is present, do i need to go in a theta/gamma state for me to hear them and see them? If I already have developed my psychic senses, will i be able to see them and hear them without being in any state?

What I wonder about is naturally talented psychics: are they in the TGS 24/7, or is it more a matter of them slipping in and out of it like blinking?

Can Alpha state work as well for spirit communication? Or does it have to be trance?
And sorry if this is not the place to ask this, but many people say that circle is important when evoking. But EA Koetting says it’s not…Kinda confused there as well.
The Alpha state is trance.
Personally, I believe the circle is important when first learning to evoke spirits to physical manifestation. EA teaches circles in his books, Works of Darkness and Evoking Eternity, as well as the Mastering Evocation course.
Eventually, you can evoke without it, but it serves an important purpose in the beginning:

There are now tuning forks for theta , gamma, beta, alpha states. you can use those to train you to get in those states. Or listen to those sound states on youtube. TUning forks don’t cost much

Cause Theta is too difficult. Like knowing that I am in a presense of a spirit and then trying to fall into Theta is like, awkward. I do not want to waste the spirit’s time. And hearing and being able to grasp/understand what the spirit is saying, I need to be attentive. Being half asleep will truly be difficult.
Lol I cannot even eat while in the presence of another human.
And being in Theta state while in the presence of a powerful God/Angel is too freaky and difficult.

Yes. You need to be in an altered state of consciousness in order to perceive things beyond the ordinary wall of reality. Trance has always been necessary in some form or another.
You are always in the presence of spirits. You just don’t notice them, because they are beyond the range of your regular senses. If you want to be successful in spirit work and evocation, then you have to work past your hang ups.
The necessary trance states take time and practice. If you don’t want to make the effort to learn how to enter, and stay, in the altered state necessary for communication with spirits, then you will not be successful with evocation. That is the brutal truth of it. There are no shortcuts.
