Is there a need to create circle around this sigil?
Can i cut the paper for sigil in any shape like rectangle?
Should i include name also ?
Circle around sigil can be a visual aid to concentration and, maybe, also empower the sigil itself.
Yes, any shape is ultimately fine. Including the name may help to associate each sigil to a spirit and also when using the sigils; for example, while gazing, you also get to read the spirit’s name.
Honestly, any shape that helps you focus and visualise on your said sigil. I find writing the name helpful when first using it. After a bit of repetition, I stop using the name since it became familiarised.
Hope that helped! (:
You don’t need a circle around sigil. The circle is only to help you focus on the sigil.
Circles and squares will “contain” the spirit. Great for invocation.
Triangles are more helpful for manifesting.
Okay so i am deciding not to create any circle or square around it, just making the sigil as it is in the above Asmodeus sigil, hope that works, coz rn for me simplicity is more important.
After reading the above post of diff memebers i hope its not important to create a shape around it, right, and it can be done as it in the image above?
It might be an unpopular opinion, but the circle only has meaning if you give it one. For some it has to do with sealing or containment. Others mentioned it helps them focus on it.
I find it easier to focus on it when there is no circle, but if there is one I just ignore it sort of.
Generally I don’t like using seals with circles because part of me feels like they will see it as a prison/bind. Despite that, I’ve never had a problem while using sigils with the circles (if I’ve looked at one instead of drawing it for instance). The spirits have always understood that I have no intent to bind them against their will.
