What are the different uses of a Magickal self ?
A “magical self” is like a set of clothes that you put on to perform magick. There are exercises in several magical training manuals for creating one. It’s basically just a version of you with all the magical abilities that you step into before ritual. When ceremonial magicians put on their robes and consecrate their tools, they are assuming the persona of their magical selves. Once the ritual is over, taking off the robes and putting the tools away then allows them to distance themselves from the magick they just performed, allowing it to flow into the world unhindered.
Edit to add: And no, you cannot get a magical self from a demon. It’s something you create yourself. What a demon can show you is a potential future self if you continue along the path. For example, i once asked what the outcome would be if i continued practicing black magick and was given a vision of an old man walking with a cane stepping off a cliff and sprouting wings to fly away.
