I was in the hunt for some good Magickal talisman and warding, and remembered this Seal of the Sorcerer from EA’s Kingdoms of Flames that is said to empower and protect the sorcerer.
So I was wondering whether I can use this as for general protection?
Basically I’m planning to draw it on paper and anoint it with blood instead of what the book suggested
It may be drawn on sheepskin parchment, sealed in wax or clay or engraved in wood or metal. If metal is used, it should be silver or tin. If it is drawn on parchment, it must be drawn either in black ink or in the magician’s own blood.
My reasoning for the improvise is because many of the entities from that book were evoked in later books that never strictly followed the instructions for the Evocation, and frankly I’m not able to draw that seal with my own blood but I really feel like I should anoint it with my blood to consecrate it.
So instead of the instructions I am thinking about drawing the seal on a piece of paper with pencil first then use a thick black marker on it and erase the pencil marks. Finally I’ll open the seal and cut myself and give blood over it instead of drawing it with blood it’ll be more like blood stains on it.
I will primally be keeping it on my closet as a protective warding and maybe keep it with me during some evocation and occasionally empowering it.
Is this a good idea and do you think it’ll be effective?
Thanks in advance ![]()
