For a while now I have been eyeing a certain position in the firm I am currently employed in. I have been working hard for the past couple years to develop the profile needed to be considered for it, not only in terms of skills and experience but also of connections and support. However, the organisation I work for is rife with corruption and nepotism, merit is almost infallibly surpassed by favouritism, and unless you whore yourself out you are almost infallibly met with a nearly-unbreakable glass ceiling.
Now, I am not terribly experienced in goetic magick. Years ago I tried and had some very encouraging evidence contacts, but my petitions were unsuccessful. I believe this happened because I lacked the clarity and wisdom required to wear the big shoes of the authoritarian goetic magus. I turned to the Shem HaMephorash and have obtained amazing results for many months now. However, in this case I want to leave no stones unturned and make sure I meet this challenge with more than enough power on my side. Better to overkill than to come unprepared.
In my research I ended up selecting as my primary grimoire for goetic magick Gordon Winterfieldâs âDemons of Magickâ. Tried and tested, beloved by many, a reliable source. Reading about the goetic spirits, both in this book and in other sources, I have come to the conclusion that the best candidate for my purposes is Belial. Winterfieldâs description of Belialâs powers is:
- To aid your rise through the ranks of any organization, over the course of months or years.
- To obtain political power.
- To create awe in friends and enemies as they sense your power and dignity.
Sounds just like what I need, right?
Now, since I have profound esteem for you people of this forum and owe you much of my magickal instruction, I come to you seeking your wisdom and experience in this very delicate circumstance. What is your experience of Belial, of their power and personality? Do I have to fear that calling on them will bring me hurt and misfortune?
I am aware that Belial is not a spirit to be trifled with, terrifyingly powerful and near-uncontrollable as they are. Furthermore, while I started with goetic magick before moving on to angelic magick and have very fond memories of my experiments, I fear the consequences that goetic works can carry. While angels seek to teach you by guiding your hand, demons bring you what you ask and leave you to understand the lesson. I know that goetic magicians often learn by getting their fingers burnt, but I wish to avoid this risk as much as possible. These bastards are not worth my pain, and I know this is a lesson I must learn. But at the same time I must consider the goetic path.
Thank you for reading through my post and for your wisdom.
