By far the easiest way to contact HGA (worked first time for me)

Damon Brand has knocked it out of the park again with his book Magickal Destiny.

I think most reading this will know that Damon Brand and the Gallery of Magick books greatly simplify magickal rituals turning them into 1-2 minute rituals that are spectacularly effective.

Well, his Magickal Destiny book is a similar approach with a series of 7 protocols to develop exponentially deeper levels of connections with your HGA.

I had immediate success with my first attempt with his deceptively simple first protocol for contacting my HGA.

From his book:
“Whether you are sitting or standing, open your arms so that your palms are facing upward. This is similar to the gesture you would make to an old friend, meaning they should come in for a hug. This gesture is an act of welcoming and despite it’s simplicity is an extremely powerful way to invite the angel”.

He goes on to say “you may find this so easy that it requires no instruction. You may find that you can mentally reach for the Angel and attempt to sense it’s reality. You know it is an intelligent spirit, closer to you than anybody or anything else could be in this world, and you reach out to make contact. If you can do that, go ahead. If not, and you have no idea what to do, you may prefer to use words. Some people run words through their mind. You may think something like ‘Are you there, are you with me?’ Or you could modify this to be something more like ‘I know you are there. I intend to know you.’ You could also phrase this as a question, such as, ‘I intend to know you, will you know me?’. As you think these things, know that the Angel is present and can hear you.”

So yes, all I did was turn my palms upwards as suggested, and said the phrases and could sense a tall white cylindrical/humanoid shape in my minds eye (the same shape that has repeatedly come up every time I have tried this since).

I read the second protocol and it says I should ask the HGA for help in times of need, and I have asked a couple of times.

One was to find an ID card that I felt hopeless about finding and after contacting HGA, I found it in a soap tray! (I was moving home when I must have indiscriminately put it in a ‘safe place’). I seriously doubt I would have found it without HGA contact.

Another couple of fairly trivial issues were helped.

But it’s also helping smooth out interactions - I deal with difficult people in a fairly high responsibility job, and it’s making decidedly tricky interactions go very smoothly.

Really beginning to feel like I have a super powered friend helping me out everyday.

Qualititively, it does feel like an extension of my intuition, but also feeling significantly different as it guides me to more faithfully carry out my intuitive responses versus impulsively reacting. So a fair few tiny changes, that are adding up to a significant quality of life and work upgrade.

Will feedback with more as I go along.

I have the book but I never tried the method yet. Thanks for your testimony… I think I will have a look soon!

Wow. Seems interesting. Gonna try this asap

I hope people don’t mind me reviving an old thread.

I started the protocols a few weeks ago. Contact felt natural and it has become easier to make and maintain it with my HGA. I get this rush of unconditional love which has strengthened as I have developed my own way to make contact.

I do remember having a moment of clarity where I knew for sure that the discussion I was having in my head wasn’t just me talking to myself, and I panicked because it felt that someone was in my head. I followed DB’s advice not to ignore it and let it happen which put me more at ease.

I’ve reached protocol 3. I’ve used protocol 2 a couple of times and it helps. I need serious help with a project at work, so I am going to ask my HGA for support.

I can only describe this book as having opened up a whole new reality for me. It’s shown me why I should be devoting my time to Magick and I can’t believe I have access to it. I have the Kindle version, but I will buy a hard copy for sure.

And I come back to revive this thread, I am trying the same process but there is something I don’t understand, as simple as it may seem. The book says:

I know this may sound really stupid but I can’t figure out the posture it is proposing. It says to put my hands palms up as if I am greeting an old friend, but that is not how you greet friends. From what I understand, the posture would be something like this:
360_F_244328590_RiyvTqK8DUKDX6GSHj3JVMjiuJnwhu0y
But I don’t think that’s what the book is trying to tell me to do, other options I’ve thought it’s trying to tell me is to sort of “hug the sky,” in this way:

Or doing a kind of praise, like this:

Or is it just something like this?

I don’t know, I am very confused and I hope there is someone who can answer me.

When I did the protocols, I used the top image. It’s supposed to be a gesture of welcome.

I did it more like this (forgive the very rushed illustration)

Mind you I am very tall, so I suppose my hug gestures are naturally lower.

Im interested to see how people got on with this book. I started it a few times, but always found I drifted away from it after a couple of months. I just never sensed anything happening and didnt really feel I was getting anywhere with it

Well, they look reasonable enough to me.

I guess as long as it looks like a non-weird welcoming gesture, it works.

I suspect its more if it feels like a welcoming gesture, rather than looks like

Whatever instinctively feels like a welcoming gesture to you is probably correct. I did the “ehhh open for a hug?” gesture and made immediate contact.

What was the contact experience like for you?

As described by someone else in this thread, a “rush” of unconditional love and warmth. Welcoming assurance that, when I return, they will be there. I thought something like, “Are you there with me?” and received an answer that, “Yes, I am always with you.”

Holy Guardian Angel.

Thanks!

After I read Magickal Destiny by Damon Brand, I saw my HGA’s form sometime later when I was half asleep. She resembled an angel anime character that I was familiar with and also different dolls and toys when I googled her name, which was amazing yet strange!

That book doesn’t guide you on calculating the angel’s name which is fine because I also don’t think we should all subscribe to the hebrew and arabic paradigms…most of us don’t speak those languages and aren’t descended from that part of the planet.

Years before though, I calculated my HGA name. It took hours with complicated astrology, math, and the Hebrew and Arabic alphabet. I calculated it in both Hebrew and Arabic. So anyway, my angel’s name can be said in both Hebrew and French, and it turned out since I was a little boy, I named my first pets after my angel!

How did I know to intuitively and randomly name them that specific nickname?

When I googled my angel’s name, I saw her in a similar form as the anime character mentioned above, as an alien Novi Stars doll that was sold years ago…and then I also found other characters with the same color pallet, so those eerie things confirmed that I may have really contacted my angel, saw her form, and really learned her name…and her name kind of brings closure to my weird life. It’s a very specific word.

So what happened since then? I just casually thank her and give her tasks.

*Side-note so please don’t derail and ask me about this because I will not recommend these people anymore…I later had occultists calculate my personal demon and they gave me a random name, but it was a name I heard in my mind before and considered changing my legal name to, and the demon’s appearance description matched the alien doll’s appearance and unique special abilities!..and those people didn’t know anything about that.

*I also don’t know where to begin to recommend how to calculating the HGA name as the websites were bookmarked on an old phone and thinking about the process will give me a headache.

“Holy guardian angel”. Some see this as a literal angel, some as the personal daemon of old greek belief, others as an aspect of ones own subconscious mind, others as some sort of singular universal force etc.

Edit: Hopefully I havent just done the equivalent of starting a discussion about who the best batman is in a comic book store
