Books on Shamanism

Hey guys, just wondering what books y’all would recommend for learning more about shamanism. Obviously Asbjorns book, but what other ones would you guys recommend for a deep dive into nature’s well?

Start with herbalism.

It’s good for you when you know the difference between a flower which is used to decorate and a plant which induces strong trance, the plants that heal the body, and those that kill.

Herbalism covers a lot of that.

also, -and i’m not sure how much of book value is even avaivable on the market regarding that,

look into rivers and springs.

They usually have Fae (Elemental spirits) bound to them, which are known to work together with Shamans, in all regions / Tribes.

get yourself a Drum, it doesn’t have to be fancy for the beginning, it’s just importend that you can carry it around when going out to visit places of worship.

Get used to synchronizing your drumming with breath / heart beat.

Dum. dum-dum. Dum, dum-dum, Dum
Big, small small, big, small small, big

is a good base rythm to start with,
which is creating trance reliably.

Also, i wouldn’t worry about book knowledge so much on that part,
as Nature allways teaches it’s Shamans directly.

Sincerely,

Raven Caldera has a series of books on the subject of Northern Tradition Shamanism which I found exceedingly educational. Highly recommend them
