what do you think of using your own blood for protection spells? Would it make them stronger especially before using blood magick for other purposes?
It could make them more powerful, but Magick is less about the ingredients and more the will of the magus. Although blood is a powerful thing.
I personally wouldn’t tie blood into a protection spell.

Why not?
I very rarely use blood in the first place. It’s a powerful tie.
“That which is like a thing, is that thing.”
Nothing is more like a person than their blood.
So I’m generally careful what I use blood for. Not many circumstances I would use it.

Meditate with a small portion of your own blood on this protection topic and see what it tells you before doing it.
