Best Orders and Lodges?

I’m making this topic because for the most part, our magick is learned directly from our own experiences or from the spirits we commune with.

The positive side to this is that this grants us the freedom to make our own discoveries.

The downside is sometimes the lack of a comprehensive structure or curriculum in the learning process can cause a person to miss out on secrets or tidbits of information that may prove extremely useful later on.

The problem though is that the occult order is a system susceptible to corruption, incompetence, and undue ego-stroking.

Yet, a good order is able to guide a person through the fundamentals to become an excellent magician if they are fair and balanced in their approach.

This is why I wanted to make this thread to see if anyone can recommend good orders or lodges.

I already know of the OAA and the Invisible House.
Likewise, the Temple of Ascending Flame.

I don’t really see the big deal with finding a magickal order, just meet up with someone or find a friend so you two can work a ritual together.

Fuck Order
Chaos FTW

Could get that if you get yourself a good spirit mentor, or, make sure to explore different paths and belief systems?

Bump for a spirit who helped me excellently with this:

Lol I dont have any friends that are into magic, thats why Im looking for an order as well

I am also interested in good orders/lodges that I could join remotely.

Me too. Look here Magical organization - Wikipedia Here are many orders. I found one which is close by, and i might join sooner or later

Joy of Satan. They got the FREE Power Meditation PDFs for enhancing personal power, and their Satanic Witchcraft PDF. Satan’s Library on their website is all free with lots of information for exposing the Jewish elite
All of their information if free, and one does not have to swear a blood oath to join.
Quareia also is free with lots of information on the Astral Realm ( Underwood in this case ).
And both groups are Responsible and Safe, so far as ethics and the law are concerned.
Do the Power Meditations at your own risk. I know.

If you want a thorough training in Qabalah and ceremonial magic, I can personally recommend the Servants of the Light school. It used to be run by Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki before she retired. It was started by W. E Butler who was trained by Dion Fortune of Golden Dawn fame. They offer a correspondence course, physical work shops, one on one mentorship and run a series of lodges for ritual work throughout Europe and the United States. It is the only magical order that I can recommend and I’ve been a member of several (both right and left hand path). Like with any large, public order that’s been around for a long time, they also have access to groups and individuals who are more “specialist” in nature but who don’t advertise publicly. But you are quite right in your observation that there are benefits to belonging to an experienced group.

If you had posted this a year ago, I would have also recommended Heritage Witchcraft Academy that taught a stream of traditional, family witchcraft. They have since gone offline and now are only involvd in private, post initiate training.
