Bent cards

I accidentally bent a few of my tarot cards a few days back and haven’t had much luck trying to straighten them out. Are bent cards still usable or would I be better off replacing them?

In one I my decks I have a single bent cards and it’s so annoying. I am really thinking about buying the deck again although I have a good connection to the one I have. But it’s almost impossible to shuffle them in my (small) hands - just because of this one card. It’s sad somehow :frowning:

I would try it out and test if it works for you. If you can’t use it in a good way anymore, it could effect your readings - but if it’s just the looks, it’s probably not necessary to put this deck away of the connection is still strongly.

Builds character.

They are still usable imo. Depends on if it affects how you shuffle them, though there are ways to work around it.

Did you fold-bend them or are they just bent really bad? If they aren’t folded, you could put a heavy object on them to flatten them out (though it’s not a fast process).

Two of cards are bent just enough to be noticeable and the third is bent enough that I can always tell where it is in the deck, however putting books on them have flattened them out a bit. I haven’t tried a reading with them since they bent because I was trying to unbend them. Shuffling is a bit more of a hassle but very doable.

The connection does seem to be fairly strong as all of my readings have been pretty accurate. I’ll test it out and if it works, I’ll keep them.

Even if you can’t use them for divination, you can still use them for magick

If a card is bent you can definitely still use the deck without replacing it… if the bent card makes shuffling difficult then you may have to try alternative ways of shuffling the cards. No matter what though, if you would feel better replacing the card then purchase another deck if possible. I can be a little excited when shuffling and have damaged a handful of cards over time in my collection. It took me some time to Learn and get accustomed to shuffling more slowly.

Depends on how annoying it is when you shuffle them. Thats it really.

One time i accidentally spilled some water on my playing cards. I was pissed cause it was a month after i bought them for divination they were brand new. But i ended up drying them by putting them between book pages and set my amplifier (for weight ) on top of the book. Some cards are bent and discolored but i figure that they are now infused with the element of water for magic lol.

just bend them all then you wont know the difference
