Azazel meaning

So I was pondering on Azazel and I had always taken for granted that Azazel = scapegoat as a direct translation because ehhhh Google right? My mind focused on the end of the name. I’d seen it before. It’s pretty common in those old names. Come to find out, Azaz also means “strong one.” Add that to the el that means “of God.”

Azazel = Strong One of God

*Matches up with his presence in the Book of Enoch.

I’m not fluent in Hebrew, but I think the meaning depends on what letters are being used.

Anyone who knows Hebrew care to confirm or deny?
