I remember seeing a post about this a while ago but now can’t find it. I’ve been calling on Santa Muerte recently for help with a situation. Yesterday and today things were bad - regarding a fallout with a family member. I asked for her help because things had gotten quite bad and then today I see 2 sp*ders. In the space of a few hours. One at work in my office on the wall where I’ve never seen one before. Then when I get home, one was on my cooker! It freaked me out as I think I mentioned before I have a bad phobia of them.
I read somewhere in that post that seeing them can be a sign of Santa Muerte be around as she is,connected to them? I saw one a few weeks ago also immediately after doing a ritual with her. That it keeps happening right after I call on her seems more than a coincidence?

They are, but they’re also a very common animal to see tbh so take spider sightings with a grain of salt unless other things point to it being a sign.
I’m not a Santa Muerte practitioner but one of my closest friends is and I learned a lot from her. She was living with me at a certain point and as soon as she moved in with me, one of my snakes went missing. Now snakes are escape artists the thing is that there wasn’t any conceivable way that I could figure out how it escaped as opposed to other escapes I’ve had when I was a new snake keeper and I could figure out how/why. Never found the snake and a couple months later, one of my tarantula’s escapes and I never find her. She was relatively large and I took apart my whole room looking for her. Then my agave jumping spider went missing out of literally a sealed cup.
At this point I told my friend that I realized all 3 animals were from the American southwest area and that I wondered if Santa Muerte had been asking for acknowledgment from me and I didn’t notice, so she started messing with my animals to get my attention. My personality is very skeptical and I only believe supernatural incidents when I can’t find any other explanation and at that time although I believed they existed, I was very resistant to acknowledging or communicating with spirits of any kind. Santa Muerte is also associated with agave and mezcal/tequila so I believed the spider was a way to show me 2 obvious signs at once.
I went to a liquor store and bought her a small bottle of nice pure tequila, no additives or artificial stuff in it. Offered it to her on my friends alter.
Lo and behold, to my shock, my jumping spider re appeared the same day. I was moving stuff around in my room and she jumped on my arm from a bin full of other bugs. Now this is a small tiny spider, about an inch at most so the chances of finding her like this were abysmally low. But she re appeared and I never had escapes like this again. After my friend moved out I still have the tequila bottle in my room because it’s a sign of my friendship with Santa Muerte and belongs to her.

Wow that’s very interesting! Yea, thing is I haven’t seen any lately apart from immediately after I called on her. And I have such a severe phobia of them, it’s freaking me out. I mean for me it’s fear like someone pointing a gun at my head. I hate everything about them. If it is her, I wish she’d send me a different sign! Whereas, I don’t mind snakes at all. I’ve even held them at the local zoo. I’m in the UK and never seen one in nature here though.
I’m sorry but - HOW CAN YOU KEEP A TARANTULA AS A PET?!! Lol. I just would die of fright probably.
Yes, when devoting and or working with la santa muerte spiders are commonly sent as signs, this is because both Mictecacihuatl and Mictlantecuhtli are connected with spiders and such things have carried over from tradition.
I’ve had many times where spiders dropped down on me while i was cleaning her altar, once a spider crawled upon her altar and when it did the black candle that had been burning for quite some time quickly shot smoke into the air from it’s wick, this was her making sure i knew who it was.

Oh! I didn’t know that. I hope I didn’t anger her as I killed them. I just really can’t stand them or the thought of them running around in my house, etc. It’s a phobia I cant seem to cure.

She’ll understand but her energy is very strong so if she wants to get a message across then she will do so in whatever way she views best, even if this means sending something that makes your skin crawl.
The spiders could also simply be a manifestation of her energy into the material world, specifically your life since you have been reaching out to her.

lol, tarantulas are fun pets as long as you respect them. Really not interactive or handling type animals although they can be sorta trained to take prey calmly from feeding tongs. Not for everyone I just really like wildlife and studying different types of wild animals.
As for the spider phobia, Santa Muerte is very accommodating and communicative, if you communicate your fear of spiders to her she may find other ways to signal to you.
