Are Humans Divine?

I was watching a scene from The Davinci Code and the main character was talking with a supposed descendant of Jesus Christ, and saying that many scholars and councils dismissed any concept of Jesus being plainly human in favor of his supposed divinity. Which got me thinking was Jesus divine because he was the son of God or because he was human? Are humans divine themselves or are we strictly “normal/mortal” and the divine are a separate class? If we are in fact divine is it okay for humans to act as such? Such as King’s being worshipped and doing as they please (murder, r*pe, theft…). Are we allowed to dictate things ourselves saying what is right and what is wrong and enforce that on others, to worship others and a set system in line with another individuals personal beliefs? History has shown that this has happened countless times without the topic of divinity occurring. Can we work magic as a gift from the gods or because we are divine and can manifest our own wills? Can humans deify upon death?

In my opinion, we aren’t “born” divine. It’s something we become.

That’s a tough one to answer. I feel that it depends on the individual and the circumstances.

I believe divine doesn’t mean deity, that divine just means everyone has a spark of source/a source in them, does it make them a God or capable of reaching Godhood simply by “I want to become a god” no, more like that spark of source means you’re a living soul that’s all.

Humans can be deified however, as I’ve seen born Gods transmute a person’s soul to one of their races or even their own race before, I’ve seen demons transmute a soul to a demon, angels to an angel, etc.

Born Gods, Gods born into the race of Gods/Deities, while titled Gods is a person who is gaining worshippers who choose to give you the title as their God or Goddess, but you’re not transmuted into a God due to it, you just gain energy from their worship and devotion. While a Born God can perform a rebirth ritual and you’re basically reborn as their child and a deity. Of course it’s not the same as a reincarnation with a new vessel but more that your true self/soul is reshaped and your divinity/spark is altered to that of a deity’s rather than to that of what you original were.
