im sorry to answer you after 2 years…
well, depends on you, when i call my an anstor, any god, demon, archangel, fallen one, so i call him untill i see diferent colors, or shapes (circles, cubes … etc…) then i tell my wishes,
i pray 2 - 3 times a day, how long in days it depends, some wishes can take days, some weeks, months
im not an expert, but according to yogis it can take years to attain the siddhis of mantras. Some take less time, others take longer time, probably dependent on the severity of the transition
a one who practices mantra daily, I can say that dedication is a must. The more you chant, the more you get there. Puja is a good thing to keep up with too, doing the eight auspicious offerings. The general rule of thumb is 100,000 mantras for every syllable of the mantra. Go even further to 1 million mantras for every syllable and you will start to feel something. I can take a long time unless you are dedicated and have the capacity to chant extremely fast and clear.
But be careful, you could end up with aggressive wind disorder and I can testify to that. Medically, it’s acute hyperventilation syndrome. Not much is known in the west on it, but just know that it can fry you CNS and cause your senses to be so extremely sensitive that simple sounds and lights hurt extremely bad, you lose sleep, and feel extreme agitation. In this case, its best to stop until things balance themselves out. There’s a reason that gurus say don’t do that. So be careful. I am no expert by any means. I don’t have initiation which for the guru tradition, they would either say your mantra is ineffective or you are delusional in thinking you have results, or worse, have attracted a demon to you. I don’t necessarily believe this unless one’s intention is self centered or profane.
Get you a mala with two sets of mala counters and chant daily for either a set number of times at the same time (tradition) or until you can’t anymore. Best to stop when you start feeling lightheaded. You can mess yourself up going any further from that point. Count each round of one million mantras until you reach one crore (10 million) or 1 million for each syllable of the mantra. Your four counters represent different numbers of mantras (1 for one round of 108, 1 for ten rounds of 108, 1 for 10 rounds of 100 rounds of 108, and 1 for 1000 rounds of 108) It’s also good to do some kind of fire puja for every million mantras if you can even if it’s just using a candle. I don’t light an actual havan because open fire in my complex ius dangerous.
