I’ve been to his PR filled with his reapers and their ranks, I’ve seen his “throne” as well, I met him through Thanatos and formed bonds with both. Although I don’t view him as an angel persay.

He’s like in between. Neither angel nor demon
I don’t consider him between them either, he predates them both. To me he is part of a race of beings that the usual judeo angels were made in image of. However, he has helped them from time to time.
I’ve never worked with him, however there was once that a friend of mine let Azrael speak through him, he didnt say too much but he told me how he was pleased to meet me. That was a year ago, and I’ve noticed lately ive noticed ive seen his name a lot. As far as I know he is the angel of death, he helps spirits in the proccess of them traveling from the physical world to the spirit world.
Like older than the archangels? Or is that the race you’re talking about?
I view archangels as a title such as seraphim archangels, cherubim archangels, etc but no older than them as well, I find Azrael to be more ancient than angels and demons but given he deals with death he’s been around both among many others.
I don’t really know the name for them, a friend of mine just called them “true seraphim” because they resemble seraphim angels predate them, and seraphim angels were created in the image of what Azrael and his people are. When I met one of Azrael’s “brothers” they did not like being called angels or being compared to them but it was the easiest explanation for me at the time. They were few in numbers, but there was a specific reason for why since they each held a specific purpose that didn’t require a bunch of them.
There was also one thing I found interesting is very few could comprehend their true forms so their forms often times changed to fit the perception of the person could comprehend but over time it would open their mind to a point they could see their true form, it was just a natural part of him and his brothers energies.

It’s honestly amazing to me! but it can be kind of annoying when you want to see their true form, took a while for me to train my mind to accept it.
I met one of his brothers who embody wind, one embodied aether/life, and so forth. I met a being that was akin to their “parent” but not quite one and their energy was this intense light that gave me a physical headache but that being knew me and in the back of my mind I knew him/her, after that meeting a lot started to fall into place in terms of my history.

That’s cool! So your spirit is older then? Azrael looks like a freaking mass with lots of eyes and mouths. He wears a robe for a reason lol.

For me I have seen him with a lot of eyes on his wings and a bandage around his eyes on his face but I have also seen him in a cloaked robe. To me he’s one of the few beings I have a lot of respect for, well more than the usual lol.
So is that why I keep seeing Azrael like the figure on the left?
Only the head is golden and his feet and hands are humanoid.

Lol he creepy af but I love him. I mean since the older spirits seem familiar with them wouldn’t that mean you have worked with them in a previous life or maybe even older spirit wise? Like an old soul? At least that’s what my mom calls it.
I know who/what my soul is but yeah we have some history beyond this life but it didn’t really peak until this life where I reacquainted myself with him through Thanatos.
