That is dependent on the entity you are working with. Different spirits, gods, demons, angels prefer different types of offerings. The system you are using will also change this as not all gods want food offerings. For example one i am working with in alignment with my vedic astrological chart calls for fire to be given as the offering.

Each spirit has its own preference for offerings.
For instance Papa Legba likes pennies, bread, small sweets, cigars, black coffee, peanuts and rum as well as a few other things.
While other spirits might not appreciate cigars or black coffee as much as Papa Legba would.
You ask for Lucifer,right? 
mostly sweets: small cream cakes,chocolate,orange,red wine,rum
