That’s such a nice idea. You should collect information about what that spirit might like, and then construct an altar according to that. For example, what color candles does he like, what kind of incense or altar cloth… Maybe flowers or fruits as offerings.
You can get everything ready, and then call the spirit and present it to them, say you made this just for them and that you hope they like it. And say that you would like to build a relationship with them.
