I watched a little bit of “Angels and Demons” the other night, which is not a bad movie as such things go. But all the chitter-chatter about the Illuminati just prompted me to say something - there is NO secret society of people doing magick for the rich and powerful. The ideology of the “one percent” is one part greed, one part tepid Christianity, and one part a vague sense that people should be nice to one another. New ideas do not penetrate. There, I feel better now. Any different points of view?

The illuminati is obviously just an archetypal force channeled through various symbols embodied in the various peoples in places of hereditary power.
