I posted this on reddit some months ago, but I haven’t obtained meaningful feedback, as the themes that I see about on ayahuasca cerimonies aren’t all about “peace, love and Jesus”.
To those who are willing to take a read, I’d appreciate feedback, specially because there are themes strongly connected to the devil and, ultimately, to themes around traditional witchcraft.
Here goes:
–
It ( A Voice) told me that the mind is a software designed to enable agency (“Free will”) and problem-solving capabilities. And all attempts to explain the mind from within have failed because you can’t recognize the structure of the mind without stepping out of it and looking at it from the outside. Functionally, it’s a software. It is invisible, and at the same time located in a hardware. Not that we’re cyborgs, but we’re information processing structures. Information and structures are what make nature’s going, from atoms to highly developed thought processes.
And because it’s a software, it operates in and through information structures both from our instinctual level and from our social level (knowledge, culture, etc). Concerning the understanding of spirituality, the mind assigns reality value to the knowledge structures that succesfully are expressed in language and eventually manifest as social realities as people discuss them and create relationships around these stories, whether through religious, spiritual movements or systems of witchcraft and magic that work with associations and entities of nature, from the use of vegetal intelligences (like in hoodoo, shamanism, or the use power plants in general) and with disembodied intelligences (whether they be the dead, youkais, angels, daemons, aliens, Jesus, God, the Devil, or whatever else).
–
Thus, the birth of theologies (or “mythologies” if you’re speaking about other cultures’ religious views). Explanatory knowledge structures about an “invisible” world that gain truth value as they become socially recognized and collectively practiced. At this juncture, Ayahuasca unveiled to me that these theologies—be they Christian, Buddhist, Islamic, shamanic—serve as “programs”, user interfaces, under which the mind’s software operates when dealing on topics about spirituality, using them as a means to transcend towards the divine. Those knowledge structures are also products of attempts to elucidate strange phenomena like synchronicities, intuitions, precognitive dreams, supernatural occurrences, and so on. From an outsider’s perspective, these structures are interfaces through which the mind operates and accesses the divine, rather than absolute truths describing the divine. They’re models designed to operate our relationship with the divine, so that is why it is so hard to create a definitive theological, spiritual, or explanatory model on this topic. They’re fruit not just from revelation, but of trial and error.

And then, it said: “God has the structure of a story”, and it proposed a new story, a new theology to me through the lens of a painting: The background of the painting is split, half white on top, half black on the bottom. At the top, a white sun radiates golden beams of light. As these rays penetrate into the dark abyss below, they transform into serpents, gradually materializing into the physical world represented by a wholly black circle at the bottom, adorned with white outlines. And down there, a small white orb.
The sun above represents “God,” the circle below represents the “Devil.” By “Devil,” I mean the divine and celestial ecstasy penetrating and manifesting in earthly form. God is the Devil. And that little ball with a white orb inside down there is the ultimate mystery of the Devil: The absolute surrender and union with the divine.
The possibility of becoming God.
The greatest lie that people tell us about “God”, it’s that he will keep you safe from the Devil. And the greatest lie that people tells about the “Devil”, is that he will distance us from “God”. They’re one and the same. Sky and earth. Creation and destruction. Animal and Human. And, ultimately, God in both.
All spiritual ecstasies lead to the same path: Union through love.
Be it shamanism, tantra, intense prayers, or whatever, the force of love inevitably leads you to the light, to union with the divine. God allows the devil - the god in the animal flesh, our flesh - to surrender to him, through ecstasy and union. As a diabolical entity (whether a person or a disembodied intelligence) sheds ignorance, it finds in diabolic forces the path to encounter the divine. It’s a backdoor entrance to union with God.
But really, it’s just a continuum. It goes infinitely up and infinitely down; it’s a fractal. The devil becomes God and eventually manifests as a unified deity, from which a diabolic twin arises again. It’s an infinite process of self-initiation through the other. The “self” is the experience of unity, and the other is the experience of division.
–
On a side note, this is where aesthetics were born also. God created forms with that division between itself, and filled those forms with his essence as a means to experience himself through the eyes of the other, as if it were doing that unknowingly that it is observing itself, his own essence, through another prism, another angle, another another aspect of himself, in a perpetual cycle of self-discovery through the expression of duality, plurality, and division, and at the same time experiencing oneness through another angle. On this contrast, emerges the experience of harmony and disharmony between the self and the other, between unity and division.
There is an oscillating movement in the vastness of existence: division → union → division; ignorance → enlightenment ->ignorance.
Remaining static in unity results in stagnation and ignorance, while staying too long in duality leads to suffering, but also to knowledge, and eventually the return to unity. It seems that unity deteriorates over time, as it remains for too long as nothing, and the acquired knowledge eventually dissipates, as the ultimate expression of unity is absolute emptiness. If there is God and only God, 1=0, one equals zero, since there are no distinction or division, it cannot be anything different from that.
Thus, as a precaution, it created a formula of division, and the “diabolic twin” arises from that void of knowledge and ignorance and, through an eternal cycle of schizophrenia and anti-schizophrenia, God remains alive, alert, and creative, through the formula of division.
And the Devil represents mastery of all material, earthly possibilities and its realizations, allowing to start anew from zero and rediscover knowledge, or analogs of it, that produce the same results.
