Why is the ritual done for 11 consecutive days? Most petition rituals I’ve seen are once-off, even the rest of Damon’s books I’ve read mostly have rituals that are done once or 3 days or so, and in another book on working with the Shem Angels the ritual is once-off as well, so how come it is recommended that the ritual be done for 11 consecutive days?

I don’t know and am a beginner anyway but if I take a guess… the Shem angels are in NAP and you repeat those rituals till it’s answered…
My guess is that you are programming your subconscious mind by the repetition and that there may be something infused in it by the magician who wrote a ritual numerically or astrologically that it you do it for that long you’re most likely to meet all the conditions most optional for it working

This is very common in magick. Brand never gives an answer as for why it must be done for 11 days, but 11 is a so-called “Angle number” and supposedly has significance in numerology.
In one book I read, though, a ritual had to be done for 33 days, so 11 isn’t that bad!

11 is the number of the Qliphotic Gods. Doing it 11 times assures success through the power of Sitra Ahra upon the ritual.

My guess is that it seeps into you, in both body and mind, perhaps making you like a beacon that echoes each day and can be seen and heard. Not just by the spirits but also by other people’s experience of you around you.
And as you get used to doing the ritual, it becomes part of what you are… like attracting like.
Also, by repetition you can’t help but be in various moods from one day to the next, so you would express the ritual in a slightly different way each time with tone of voice and visions etc.
