Yes you answered perfectly, thank you
Hence,
now you know,
why i normally deny any Divination requests.
Because i actually know,
how it really works.
And i knew those things,
before i joined balg.
Well, the Cold reading side of it.
The Spirit side of it,
of course,
also took me some time to develope. ![]()
You’re welcome.
I’m very glad to hear that.
Sincerely,

Let me tell you a tale out of my youth,
for that matter.
I was once,
sitting in a little Café,
after Buisness School.
My dad came to visit me,
(by that time, i wasn’t living with my parents anymore),
and we started talking about palmestry.
Curiousity spike in all other guests sitting around the Cafe,
and so people started aproaching us,
wanting to get a reading,
to see if what we was talking about,
held any ground beneath it.
So,
i came to the very questionable pleasure,
of having an Elderly Woman,
around her 70’s /80’s, with a tube sticking out of her throat,
for she has had a surgery,
to save her from dying through suffocation,
and her daugther, the owner of the place,
asking me about how long she will stay alive from now on.
Looking at her Life-Line,
i could tell exactly when she should have died,
and recieved the surgery.
Her Lifeline was clearly done,
by the point in her life,
when they asked me that question.
So of course,
i had to come up with some creative lie,
about her going to live for another ten years,
because the daughter surely didn’t want to be told,
what was completely obvious to me and my dad:
That she was already dead,
and only luck had saved her for so long.
Another guy,
joined in the raw of suspects,
and wanted a reading as well.
He had a Thor’s Hammer Tattooed on his forearm,
and probably was one of my first real encounters with a “Heathen”.
He was clearly suffering from his lífe-long Alcohol addiction,
and his business was driving Trucks.
When i told him,
what was again,
blatantly obvious written in his hand,
that he’d have either a Horrific Accident,
or die,
in 2 years counted from then,
he became a very concerning,
and straining conversation partner.
He kept consisting,
yet,
demanding,
for me to tell him,
that he wanted to know,
he’d die in battle.
By that point,
i could basically see him lying in the hospital,
after having crushed his Truck in a massive Car Accident,
or simply having a Heart Attack,
which both cases,
he’d not likely survive.
While i kept trying,
to explain to him,
that he could use the 2 years,
to prevent it from happening at all,
he kept forcing me back to his mindset,
of:
"I want to die in Battle!! Will i die with Honor!?!
So,
eventually, I gave up on him.
I told him,
he’d die in Honorable form,
even tho i knew,
that would be almost impossible to happen,
since his death by heatstroke,
caused by massive Alcohol abuse,
or his death by Car Accident,
due to Sleeping in during driving,
and not being able to control his Truck anymore,
both would be far from honorable.
Yet,
he wanted to hear,
what he wanted to hear,
and he didn’t leave me a choice,
about telling him what would have actually helped.
So,
i grew very quickly,
into the understanding:
Just because people ask,
doesn’t mean,
they can handle being answered.
Something,
i came across,
again,
when i offered my service here,
to educate people,
and help them become better magicians.
Made me very reluctant,
towards how much i’m willing to share my knowledge,
or how much i’m ready to invest,
into a “Spell on demand”.

Hope this helps you,
understanding,
some of the more finer details,
about Divination,
and that indeed,
the person being read,
haves a huge influence,
on the reading.
For better,
as well as for worse.

Maybe i do.
That’s my decission to make.
Not yours.
Sincerely,
