Paranormal Activity from a Black Magicians View

Lotta good input on this so far. I like to IMAGINE it has some sort of mysterious aura to it, yet part of me wonders if I’d end up disappointed when I go around it and feel…some bound parasite or something.

Iirc, it’s a combination of sympathetic magic and the binding of some kind of spirit. Do we know of any LHPers that had experiences with/around one?

Sounds like the makings for an orgy :woman_facepalming:t3: :eyes:lmao

That’s a really good question. Hopefully, someone will chime in. I have never been around one. So, like you I’m afraid that I will be disappointed if it’s just a parasite or something. But I do believe they hold some evil spirit as @DarkestKnight said. Though, I’m doubtful of the whole hell on earth thing.

It’d be interesting to get a black magician around on for sure. And get their take on it without all the hype and superstition.

There goes @DarkestKnight, creating porn instead of a scary movie :joy:

Agreed. I suppose if the sympathetic tag was done in a desecrating manner, that could easily turn a neutral one evil-esque.

I saw something about binding a human soul to them, in theory Makes me wonder if you couldn’t make a similar one in the same way EA bound that spirit from the skull he has…

I bet you could

But I believe there are certain objects that have to be placed inside of one also. I’m not sure what they are. But I’m sure a little research would turn something up.

I think most people are calling any sort of spirit trap a dybbuk box these days, even though that is factually incorrect, so there could very well be anything in them.

A dybbuk is a specific sort of spirit, and a true dybbuk box is created only through genuine Jewish magick, so unless the box has Kabbalistic symbols all over it, chances are good it is not an actual dybbuk box. However, that doesn’t mean it couldn’t hold a spirit. After all, every spiritual tradition has its own method of trapping spirits.

But dont magicians or at least some of us do Kabbalistic magick?

Agreed. I saw a supposed one be opened on video, but it’s been a while. Probably Panic Attack Zak. Damn, I may have to go looking for that now…

Most of the Kabbalisitc magick modern magicians know comes from the Golden Dawn, and let’s just say, their version is not traditional Kabbalah, but rather Hermetic Kabbalah.

A true dybbuk box can only be created properly by a rabbi proficient in the old school magick. I’m sure a modern magician could figure out how to do something along the same lines using the Golden Dawn version of Kabbalah, but it would not be the same thing. From what I understand, creating an actual dybbuk box is quite difficult, and dangerous.

I want to say the one Zac has was created by a Jewish lady during WWII but my facts could be off.

Atleast thats how I remember it.

Ive heard it was dangerous as well.

The story goes that 10 boxes were made from the same tree and house 10 evil spirits. And opening all 10 at the same time … You know the whole hell on earth thing again.

Also I know there are items that go in them. But I dont know if the same items have to be in every box or if the items depend.

So alot of research would have to be done. Youd have to find a jewish rabbi to share the info most likely. And I’m not sure how difficult that would be.

Yeah, but I was thinking of one I saw last year… Guess it was some other group or documentary.

It could have been the one where Zac first gets the box. That’s been a while.

Orthodox rabbis have very specific rules they must follow. One such rule, for example, is that they cannot be touched by any woman that is not their wife.

Did you watch the movie The Possession, which is about a dybbuk box? The Orthodox rabbi the protagonists go to for help refused because of how dangerous an actual dybbuk is. The apprentice who tried to help got himself killed because he didn’t know what he was doing.

If the story is true, I wonder where the “Jewish lady” learned the necessary magick, as such things are not usually taught to women in Orthodox Judaism, from what I understand.

it does make me curious, though, how a modern system of magick would stack up against a traditional dybbuk. A true dybbuk is supposed to be incredibly powerful, so I wonder if a modern method would be as useful against it as the traditional Judaic methods.

Could have been her father taught her how? Idk. Its just the legend about the box.

It was WWll though. So desperate times called for desperate measures.

Maybe she didnt know exactly what to do but did enough to make it stick. Idk.

Or the whole thing could be a hoax
