If you resonate with her energy she can be very vocal with you. I personally think you should work with Shiva to open the way to Kali, since Shiva is the guru of all those devotees who do not have a guru. There is a more technical aspect to taking Shiva on as your guru, but for now you could simply approach him with his mantra and state your intentions to get to know him and Kali Ma. Sometimes she will just barge through the doors after first contact and make herself known, sometimes she can be a bit reclusive. Approach her with love, devotion and respect and you will find no other Goddess as beautiful and fiercely protective as her. Whenever you’re ready, you could also do a puja for Kali. You will find tons of resources on how to accomplish that.
Funny thing…I paid someone to invoke SHiva but Ganesha came instead of Shiva. Lord Ganesha said he is here to represent his father. And he didn’t mind when I repeated a question. He even smiled once. The summoner told me, at the end, Shiva came as well. Shiva said “He has many requests. We will grant some.” So yeah.
I feel like SHiva can get quite nasty. i get a pretty hard vibe that he doesn’t show favouritism. I think this is the best way to put it. I will stay clear of Shiva’s path.
Though I think it shouldn’t be that easy to get Shiva’s attention. He is “pretty up there”. Big guy.
Ganesha is supremely powerful (and sweet). In fact, most ritual workings in Hinduism begin with a prayer to him to clear the path. So it doesn’t really matter which deity you’re working with, he’s simply indispensable to all.
I have a close bond with Shiva and Kali Ma, and I can confirm that while Kali Ma can be stern in her lessons, Shiva (or rather, his aspect as Sadasiva) is very forgiving. Likewise, if you choose to work with a fierce aspect of him (like Mahakaal or one of the more chaotic forms of Kala Bhairava), expect to have a very intense experience. I would not recommend working with these aspects as a beginner. The wisest tantrics will tell you that it takes the work of several lifetimes to reach a stage where you are able to evoke these energies into the material realm safely.

Do I need a Lingam? Baal had it in his book that I need a Lingam, if I’m gonna work with Shiva.
I think it depends on what program you are following. If you’re following Baal, then do what he says for the results. But if you want to test, then sure you can just use a picture of Shiva. You may or maynot get the desired results. But if he says to use a Lingam, I had use it for a reduced failure rate. So it depends on what you are trying to do.
Baal Kadmon has good books i have heard, but tbh I think he has very basic stuff on hindusim. Especially the mantras and stuff. Like seriously? I got the laxmi ebook and i was like wow…this is super basic stuff. I didn’t get anywhere with that.
The closest I’ve come to “literally” hearing them is through my own mind-voice, if that makes sense. I’m more of a visual person, so they prefer to communicate with me through visions or scenes rather than words. Sometimes you simply don’t need words or speech - you will feel their energy viscerally coursing through your spine and the Ajna chakra.
Dreams are a whole other matter entirely, and they manifest more strongly to the astral senses when compared to waking states of consciousness.
You don’t necessarily need a lingam to start, but it does help. I would say his yantra works just as well. You could just draw his yantra yourself and empower it with his mantra. We believe that there is no separation from the God/Goddess and the yantra. They are one and the same, the only difference being that the yantra is a more geometrical representation of the deity. I won’t go into the technicalities of working with a yantra, but for ease you can try to use it the way you would a sigil in a classic Western-style evocation. I cannot guarantee results, but it doesn’t hurt to try. Whenever you can invest in a lingam, I would suggest buying one. If you’re unable to get your hands on one, you can also make it yourself by making a clay-like paste out of turmeric and fashioning it into a lingam. The only downside there is that it’s fragile and you would probably need to make it again if it chips off or becomes brittle.
As much as I admire Baal’s expertise, I agree with this. Some of his books are extremely basic.

Ganesha is called pratham pujya “the one who is prayed first” this boon was given to him by many gods including Shiva and Shakti, so pray or give homage to him first just a simple “hail Ganesha” is sufficient.
Think of him as intermediary like Scirlin from grimorium verum or papa legba if you want to work with the loas.

Rest is i can’t say what gods like or don’t like I don’t speak for them nor I think anyone can tell exactly what they like or not. it’s a personal journey whatever your instincts say follow it, what others have experienced may not happen with you or maybe you will have experiences others never have.
Trust me, Kali is more than you think. Better worship her as your mother. She is badass mother who is hella protective. She will make you feel her protection.

Recently, found Baal’s YouTube, and now because of this Video, I see Kali with a better vision. I now know what she’s capable of, and have a better understanding of Kali, and why it’s super important to be careful of what I ask for, when it comes to Magickal abilities, and she is gonna kick my ass, but I have no harsh words for her, just these words “I’m ready, Mother, teach me all I need to know.” referring to the Siddhi. Though what this video says about Kali, does much my views when it comes to Chaos, it’s not from a source of Evil, but of Change and growth, so maybe Kali was always there for me, I just never realized it, or maybe she found a way to get my attention at long last.
Oh and before I forget: I did a Mantra for Ganesha’s Extreme Good luck, and the next day while I was at Dollar General, I found a $50 dollar bill in the parking lot, and I seriously couldn’t believe it, I’d usually would see a one dollar bill or on real good days a $20, but never a $50! I was so excited, I started doing a Bollywood style dance! Which folks there noticed, and gave me the WTF look and I was like awkwardly rushing away to my car. Seriously, Ganesha is the man! Like I just kept saying Thank you to his Picture I’d used for the ritual.
Also finally decided to use the “To Gain Unlimited Favors” Mantra from Kali, and boy, it was intense and her picture, I used this picture by the way:

I was staring into her eyes and it looked like she was looking back at me with a smile, though I was like super tired at the moment and just started talking to her, calling her Mother Kali, and just poured my guts out to her, just telling her I love her and hope she can help on my very lonely journey.
