It all depends on your will and your beliefs.
If you don’t believe you can make it happen, it won’t.
You can actually get some help without spirits by using a candle and some correspondences to the planets.
It’s needless to worry about the mechanics - it’s irrelevant in your situation.
See Buckland’s books on the internet.
Use a simple technique of altar, seal, candle, and perhaps some herbs corresponding to the planet (Jupiter or the Sun). Pray to the planet, so to speak, to transfer your will to the other realm, and be confident it will transform into something back in this realm.
