Trickster in Loki’s sense is an unorthodox teacher rather than an easily offended individual.

Unorthodox, true. But Loki has a tendency, when offended to “find” something which he feels you need to be taught a lesson in. That is why I lump him in with the rest of the tricksters. He might not be as easily offended, but his retribution via teaching one a lesson is swift and without mercy. In short, tread carefully.
