Yule, Solstice, Xmas Plans?

Who’s got any plans for the big day, Dec 25th?

I’m doing all kinds of wild Satany dark-darkness with Uncle V. around the Solstice, will be channeling here on the 23rd too (details TBC Mon 21st, because of my crazy hours) BUT, the big day, I’m thinking of maybe sending a great big cosmic cuddle to my brothers, sisters, and non-gendered fellow mages… in other words, surfing the general tide of goodwill and also the old pre-Xian spirit of a community hunkered down for the winter, facing storms, hostile conditions and cold, and generally trying to make the best of it through goodwill and enjoying things they stored away.

Of course this is just a northern hemisphere thing, but please don’t feel left out if you’re from south of the equator!

I thought it might be nice to create a simple sigil to send blessings to, raise a mug of cocoa (or glass of what’s your poison) and light a candle or tealight to each other on the day - something done A.O. Spare style, for the date, or something.

Who’s in?

I know we mostly have either family, or friends, or work, or isolation (or all 4!) on the day to deal with, so maybe make it a 3-day deal, from Dec 24th - 26th inclusive - join when you can.

Or am I just being too snuggle-bunny, and you’d all rather eat roadkill, snarl at the idea of it, and sacrifice babies and shit!

Which is fine… LHP is eccentrix, angry, vicious, etc… :stuck_out_tongue:

But me and mine, we be all:

I don’t have anything planned for Dec. 25th, but I have been thinking of doing a major working on the 24th, which is my birthday so I will gladly accept a cosmic cuddle from you, Lady Eva

And there is absolutely nothing wrong with being too-snuggle bunny every now and then.

Hah! I love it. I’m all about good vibes and group love to “my people”. Let’s do it!

I’ve always celebrated a secular X-Mas, and quite enjoy the family time, decorating (yay for lights and candles!), indulging in amazing food, and those special solitary moments for ritual and contemplation.

A three day working sounds like a plan!

Sounds like a lovely idea. Just because we practice LHP doesn’t means we will be all serious - sacrificing babies and skinning cats for Christmas. Not all of us anyway (you never know, there might be some).

I don’t celebrate Christmas (not for religious reasons, just never have) so I will gladly join as I’ve no other plans.

I’ll go ahead and admit I could use the ‘balancing’ effect of some light-hearted work before getting back to business for the long-term - I’m in.

a cosmic orgi- er cuddle with a playbo- snuggle-bunny? sounds like fun, count me in.

P.S where is that long hypen button? i can’t seem to find it.

LOL, if you say merry kissmas very slowly it sounds like merry kiss some ass, which seems to be the new reason for christmas these days right? It’s all about commercialism, which businesses can make the most money, which kids are given the coolest gifts, and advertisements that make the financially struggling mundanes feel depressed and ashamed because they can’t afford the coolest gifts for their family. But that’s okay, because you can put your gifts on layaway, or a credit card, and pay later. It also sounds like kiss-my-ass if you say it with an intentional southern accent.

No fancy plans, just stuck here while my family celebrates their traditional religious christmas with awful gospel music, spoiling the shit out of the kids as if they don’t already get new toys every other day throughout the rest of the year. The food is the only thing I look forward to, pretty pathetic huh?

Does anyone wanna meet up for Christmas/Yule/Saturnalia/The Solstice/Pastafarian ‘‘Occasion’’/whatever?

As in,we all soul travel,to the same location, and spend a half hour or something,of the holidays together as a family?

I mean,I don’t think we’ll be able to talk much, because telepathic communication is hard, but if we could do a ritual in an astral temple, together at around this time…

It doesn’t have to be at the same time, because time makes no sense up there. It doesn’t have to be a half hour, you can just come briefly. And it doesn’t have to be more just a half hour, because again, time makes no sense up there.

We could evoke the egregore that is Santa Claus?Or maybe even E.A. himself? In the astral temple,if anyone wants to do any work, that is.

Otherwise we’d just run around each other, and enjoy the fact that we can do practically anything. If everyone wants to,that is.

Or we could just give each other the offerings of tealights and glasses of water.

I’m in. I love Christmas. It’s always been a secular holiday for me. At 51, I’m still in love with the idea of Santa, the North Pole, elves, etc. I still get filled with child-like wonder and awe at the sight of a well decorated house. That, and the fact that road kill is scarce around here in the winter.

I don’t celebrate or get a tree but I will help out with this!

SUPER!

Big 3-day group hug it is then, we can get back to the flayings, genocides, and (worst of all) afflicting people with people with the dread soggy pizza curse in the New Year.

I’ll draw up a sigil and post it in the next few days, something nice and simple.

Yep I’m in as well

I think the astral temple idea would be cool. Should we all try to imagine a similar meeting place or just go wherever our travels take us while thinking of the other member’s usernames? It would be interesting to see if by thinking of the participating member’s usernames, we are all taken to the same astral location or if we are pulled to the locations where the last member to join in was roaming about. And if we decide to do an offering for each other like something simple as suggested, glass of water, should we set the offering out in our physical world and link it to the astral, or should we give the offerings in astral form only, while in our temples?

Little details like that could make the difference in how we connect to one another and what we see.

I was originally thinking either my astral temple (a place that’s really beautiful and really safe) or Lady Eva’s(I’ve been there before(sort of) and I gave it a temporary make-over) or meeting up in a place like say NYC or something and then seeing where we go.

So what does everyone think?

And we can come back and report what we.looked like to each other, what we did and said. We can summon EA. Just use his signature as the sigil and Archæleus Baron as the name.

As for offerings it means leaving a physical glass of water and charging it for us. We’ve actually done that twice. Once in the “anti-child-trafficking” thread (a spectacular workibg BTW) and once in a thanking thread.

Okay folks I channelled and drew out the seal for this, apologies for the writing, I did it with my left and and also once I did it, was told not to re-draw it or do Photoshop to make it all purty…

It’s very simple, and I’m going to use my original on my Altar probably the 25th and light 4 small votive candles around it, and send some love and a toast for happiness, success and power, as described in the OP.

Thank you Lady Eva, I will do the same for you and all the other members.

Just wanted to say that I am SO up for this. I love you guys, so much. May next year be a great success for BALG,project Theogenesis, and all of us individually!

Yule/Solstice/XMas related:

During a recent trip, I saw this framed and hanging in a cathedral, of all places - with the sky high vaulted ceilings, the painted glass, the priests in robes, pretty much all the Old World Christian trappings there are to see. And yet I did meet some pagan visitors there who were walking the labyrinth, with some new agers and Hindus. It was clearly a Christian place of worship, yet it welcomed everyone in to do their own thing, with no pressure to convert. The doors were open.

Those of you who have voiced persecution by religion, or felt oppressed by the crappy directions in which people have taken religion, this one’s for you. May it bring you cheer.

I had to reduce file size to get the attachment to be accepted. If it proves to be illegible for people, let me know and I’ll try to re-upload it. Clicking on the image enlarges it somewhat.

i am banned this year from going to celebrate anything with my relatives this year. my brothers are hosting and its a state away. although they are driving to my house to get my elderly mother, they cant be bothered to remember to be civil and invite their little witch sister to join them. apparently their huge christian house is too small for me. thats okay. my house shall be filled with wine, spirits, and laughter and i feel honored to join in your celebration as well

Then allow me to raise a toast to you on Christmas.
